Abstract: System, methods, and other embodiments detecting and localizing objects within an image in a wide-view format using a synthetic representation. The method includes converting a real image in a wide-view format to a synthetic representation using a style model, wherein the synthetic representation depicts a distorted view of an object. The method also includes identifying features of the object using an extraction model that distinguishes different scales of the synthetic representation and a simulated scene to define structures associated with the distorted view. The method also includes detecting the object using a decoder model that identifies an attribute and a bounding box of the object from the features. The method also includes executing a task using the attribute and the bounding box to localize the object in the simulated scene.

Abstract: In a computer-implemented method and associated tangible non-transitory computer-readable medium, an image of a damaged vehicle may be analyzed to generate a repair estimate. A dataset populated with digital images of damaged vehicles and associated claim data may be used to train a deep learning neural network to learn damaged vehicle image characteristics that are predictive of claim data characteristics, and a predictive similarity model may be generated. Using the predictive similarity model, one or more similarity scores may be generated for a digital image of a newly damaged vehicle, indicating its similarity to one or more digital images of damaged vehicles with known damage level, repair time, and/or repair cost. A repair estimate may be generated for the newly damaged vehicle based on the claim data associated with images that are most similar to the image of the newly damaged vehicle.

Abstract: A device captures a series of images over time in association with a gate, each image having a timestamp. The device determines, for a vehicle approaching the entry side, from a subset of images of the series of images featuring the vehicle, a first data set comprising a plurality of parameters that describe attributes of the vehicle by inputting the subset of images into a first machine learning model and a vehicle identifier of the vehicle by inputting images of the subset featuring a depiction of a license plate of the vehicle into a second machine learning model. The device stores the data set in association with one or more timestamps with the subset of images, determines a second data set for a second vehicle approaching the exit side, and responsive to determining that the first data set and the second data set match, instructs the gate to move.

Abstract: A leak detection system is configured to provide vehicle-specific leak detection for a vehicle. The leak detection system includes a memory circuit having a plurality of leak detection instructions matched with vehicle identification information. The system additionally includes an ultraviolet light source and a camera configured to capture an image of an area illuminated by the ultraviolet light source. A processor is in operative communication with the memory circuit and the camera. The processor is configured to facilitate identification of at least one of the plurality of leak detection instructions in response to receipt of vehicle identification information associated with the vehicle, and compare the image captured by the camera to a known image of the vehicle to determine presence and location of a leak.
