PURPOSE: Method and apparatus for providing contents service using the interworking of a receiving terminal and a broadcasting terminal are provided to enable users to receive high quality augmented reality-type advertisements or data service using the low class broadcasting terminal. CONSTITUTION: A method apparatus for providing contents service using the interworking of a receiving terminal and a broadcasting terminal comprises the following steps: transferring an encrypted terminal information message to the broadcasting terminal using the receiving terminal(550); analyzing the encrypted terminal information message using the broadcasting terminal interworking with the receiving terminal(560); receiving encrypted AR(augmented reality) information and controlling message, and outputting the obtained AR information on the receiving terminal(590, 600); and outputting audio and video information through the broadcasting terminal(610).

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for transmitting application information in a digital broadcasting system are provided to reduce an amount of transmitted documents by transmitting detailed information about application through an additional XML document and adding reference information about application information according to each program of a broadcasting channel. CONSTITUTION: A digital broadcasting receiver(710) receives digital broadcasting data from a broadcasting center. A service information receiver(720) receives a broadcasting service searching information table related to digital broadcasting data from the broadcasting center. If reference information exists on a program location information table, a control unit(730) requests application information and receives an application information table. A display unit(740) displays the application and the digital broadcasting data.

PURPOSE: A mobile contents providing system using an IPTV-based STB is provided to watch desired contents through various mobile terminals connected to a home network. CONSTITUTION: A home network interface(270) communicates with one or more mobile terminals(300). A terminal profile management unit(230) acquires a terminal profile from a connected mobile terminal. A contents converting unit(240) converts received contents into mobile contents suitable for a corresponding mobile terminal. A transceiving control unit(260) extracts the stored mobile contents of a contents storage unit(250). The transceiving control unit transmits the extracted mobile contents to the mobile terminal through the home network interface.
