Abstract:
A cardio-pulmonary compression device includes a motor (11) having a rotating portion, and a ball nut (12) mounted on the rotating portion and configured to rotate with the rotating portion. A ball screw (13) is received in the ball nut such that rotation on the ball nut advances and/or retracts the ball screw in accordance with a direction of the motor. A pad assembly (15) is coupled to an end portion of the ball screw such that longitudinal motion of the ball screw imparts a compression cycle to a patient.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for sexual stimulation of a penis, with a housing with a substantially cylindrical cavity, a number of constriction elements with an opening which are placed in the housing and arranged adjacently of each other in axial direction, wherein the cavity extends through each of the openings and the constriction elements are each configured, when activated, to constrict their opening, and a control element placed in the housing for controlling the controllable size of the opening of each of the constriction elements, wherein the control element is configured to generate at least one reciprocally moving constriction of the constriction elements displacing over the length of the cavity along the constriction elements, at a frequency of between 0.2 and 5 reciprocal movements per second. The invention also relates to an apparatus for use by a sexual partner of the user of the device, which is configured for placing in the vagina of the sexual partner and provided with a number of pressure sensors and elongate sensor configured to detect the extent to which the apparatus has been inserted into the vagina.
Abstract:

The brake unit includes an outer pipe disposed on the rotary shaft, and an inner pipe movably disposed in the outer pipe. The linear move unit includes a linear seat pivoted to the second shaft portion, and a linear platfoum movably disposed on the linear seat. The hand gripping assembly is disposed on the linear platform. The first connecting rod is pivoted to the brake unit. The second connecting rod is pivoted to the first connecting rod and the linear seat.
Abstract:
A massage cushion assembly for providing a massage to a user resting on the massage cushion assembly is provided. The massage cushion assembly includes a body supporting portion having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, a base portion defining one or more slots extending longitudinally through the base portion, and a massage unit including one or more massage members. Each of the massage members is movable along a length of a particular slot and between a raised position and a lowered position. Each massage member is further positioned in a particular slot such that a head portion of the massage member extends out of the slot and presses against the second surface of the body supporting portion when the massage member is in the raised position.
Abstract:
Provided is a walking movement aid based on a novel technical concept focusing on a swinging leg, which is used by a person with decreased walking ability or the like, and promotes walking movement using his own muscle strength by supporting walking movement with a small force. A swinging leg pendulum movement aid for walking (10) includes a pair of assisting units for a left leg and a right leg each having a drive source (40) for applying a pulling force to an auxiliary force transmission part (12), a joint angle sensor (32) for detecting a joint angle of user's hip joints, and a control means (50) for driving the drive sources (40) of the respective assisting units corresponding to changes in the joint angle and applying an assistance force in a forward swinging direction to the swinging leg that kicked off a ground so as to aid a pendulum movement of the swinging leg.
Abstract:
The present invention provides non-invasive methods and apparatuses for increasing mucociliary clearance (MCC) of a subject to prevent, treat, or improve MCC in conditions such as Eustachian tube dysfunction, otitis media, and diseases of the upper and/or lower respiratory tracts. As described herein, the methods and apparatuses of the present invention increase MCC by applying non-invasive external movement/force to a subject to generate internal mechanical oscillating shear stress in the subject for prophylactic or therapeutic use in subjects at risk of developing or having a condition of the upper and lower respiratory system, Eustachian tube, or middle ear that is caused by impairment of the MCC system.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for use in the extra-corporal treatment of the body, said apparatus comprising: (a) a handle (1) via which the apparatus can be manipulated, (b) a drive member (3) arranged preferably inside the handle and allowing transmission to a coupling means (2) of a periodic reciprocating movement back and forth along a longitudinal axis Z at a frequency f of between 1 and 500 Hz and an amplitude A of between 0.4 and 40 mm, (c) a massage head (4a) fixed to a first end of a column (4b), the opposite second end of which is designed to be coupled securely to the coupling means (2) connected to the drive member (3) so that the column runs substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of oscillation of the coupling means, the time-based curve representing the oscillation of the massage head (4b) being asymmetric and characterized by a displacement time to cover the distance H between an extreme end-of-travel position and its central half-travel position that is shorter than the displacement time taken to cover the same distance H between its central half-travel position and an extreme end-of-travel position.
Abstract:
Continuous passive motion device for rehabilitation of a diarthrodial and synovial joint between a proximal member with a first articular surface and a distal member with a second articular surface, the device comprising means for inducing a flexion-extension movement (50; 50') of the joint and is characterized in that it further comprises means for inducing a slide (10, 20, 20') between the two articular surfaces, said means (10, 20, 20') acting on one of the members of the joint during the flexion-extension movement.
