    Abstract: Ready-to-use aqueous coolant compositions having alkylene glycols, glycerol and/or 1,3-propanediol and a) from 0.05 to 10% by weight, based on the total amount of the composition, of one or more polyethylene glycols and/or polypropylene glycols and b) from 0.01 to 10% by weight, based on the total amount of the composition, of one more carboxamides and/or sulfonamides are useful for inhibiting corrosion in the case of magnesium and magnesium alloys.

    Abstract: Use is claimed in the production of anti-freeze concentrates for fuel cell coolants based on 1,3-propanediol (optionally together with alkylene glycols or their derivatives) of 5-membered heterocyclic compounds (azoles) which have 2 or 3 sulfur or nitrogen atoms with a maximum of 1 S and which optionally also have an annelated aromatic or unsaturated 6-membered ring. An Independent claim is also included for such anti-freeze concentrates which are used in the production of ready-to-use 1,3- propanediol-based fuel cell coolants with maximum conductivity 50 microS/cm.
