Abstract:
The invention relates to antifreeze concentrates for cooling systems in fuel cell drives, which are used to produce ready-to-use aqueous cooling agent compositions having a maximum conductivity of 50 mu S/cm, based on alkylene glycols or the derivatives thereof, containing one or several five-membered heterocyclic compounds (azole derivatives) with 2 or 3 heteroatoms from the nitrogen and sulphur group which contain no or at the most one sulphur atom and which can include an aromatic or saturated six-membered fusion agent.
Abstract:
Antifreeze concentrates based on alkylene glycols or derivatives thereof or on glycerol, comprising from 0.0005 to 0.1% by weight of the dye C.I. Reactive Violet 5 (Color Index No. 18097), based on the total amount of the concentrate.
Abstract:
An antifreeze concentrate based on alkylene glycols, glycerol and/or 1,3-propanediol comprises a) from 0.05 to 10, preferably from 0.5 to 5, % by weight, based on the total amount of the concentrate, of one or more polyethylene glycols and/or polypropylene glycols and b) from 0.01 to 10, preferably from 0.05 to 10, % by weight, based on the total amount of the concentrate, of one or more carboxamides and/or sulfonamides. Ready-to-use aqueous coolant compositions which contain from 30 to 70, in particular from 40 to 60, % by weight of the concentrate are obtainable from the novel concentrates by dilution with water. Said compositions are distinguished by effective corrosion inhibition in the case of magnesium and magnesium alloys.
Abstract:
Antifreeze concentrates for cooling systems in fuel cell drives, from which ready-to-use aqueous coolant compositions having a conductivity of not more than 50 .mu.S/cm result and which are based on alkylene glycols or derivatives thereof, contain orthosilicic esters (I) (see formula I) where R1 to R4 are identical or different and are C1- to C20-alkyl, C2- to C20-alkenyl, C1- to C20-hydroxyalkyl, unsubstituted or substituted C6- to C12-aryl and/or a glycol ether substituent of the formula -(CH2-CH2-O)n-R5, where R5 is hydrogen or C1- to C5-alkyl and n is from 1 to 5.

The invention relates to antifreeze concentrates based on alkylene glycols or their derivatives, or on glycerine, containing 0.0005 to 0.1 % by weight of the colorant C.I. Reactive Violet 5, Colour Index No. 18097, in relation to the total amount of the concentrate.
Abstract:
Antifreeze concentrates for cooling systems in fuel cell drives, from which are produced ready-to-use aqueous cooling agent compositions having a maximum conductivity of 50 mu s/cm, based on alkylene glycols or the derivatives thereof, and containing orthosilicic acid esters of formula (I) wherein the variables R1 to R4 are the same or different and represent C1-C20 alkyl substituents, C2-C20 alkenyl substituents, C1-C20 hydroxyalkyl substituents, optionally substituted C6-C12 aryl substituents and/or glycol ether substituents of formula (CH2-CH2-O)n-R wherein R represents hydrogen or C1-C5 alkyl and n represents a number between 1 and 5.
Abstract:
An antifreeze concentrate for cooling systems in fuel-cell drives which gives ready-to-use aqueous coolant compositions having a conductivity of at most 50 muS/cm, based on alkylene glycols or derivatives thereof and containing one or more five-membered heterocyclic compounds (azole derivatives) having 2 or 3 hetero atoms from the group consisting of nitrogen and sulfur, which contain no or at most one sulfur atom and which may carry a fused aromatic or saturated six-membered ring.
