Abstract:
A crystalline zeolite SSZ-26 is prepared using a hexamethyl [4.3.3.0] propellane-8,11-diammonium cation as a template. Also disclosed is a process for converting hydrocarbons with crystalline zeolite SSZ-26.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for determining the amount of stretch in a well logging cable is disclosed. An optical fibre (10) is run into a well with a logging cable (11) and looped back to the surface. A second optical fibre (14) of nominal length is maintained on the surface. A beam of monochromatic light from a source (17) is split and passed through both fibres and recombined. As the well logging tool (1) is raised and lowered into the wellbore, the number of interference fringes passing a fixed point is determined. The change in length of the optical fibre and, therefore, the cable will be equal to 1/2 the number of interference fringes passing a fixed point times the wavelength of light is used. A precise determination of vertical location of the well logging tool (1) can then be made when this information is combined with information from a surface mounted length measurement device, such as an odometer. This information further allows a precise determination of interval bulk density or other formation parameters in which it is important to know the depth of a tool.
Abstract:
Organoborane imidazole compounds having activity as agricultural fungicides are represented by the general formula: wherein R is an aliphatic group and R , R , R , R , X and Y are selected from hydrogen and various aliphatic and aromatic substituents. For example, R can be an alkyl or alkenyl group, R can be an alkyl group and R , R , R , X and Y can be hydrogen. Intermediates from which the compounds of formula I may be prepared are also disclosed.

Abstract:
A process is provided for catalytic dehydrogenation of light paraffinic hydrocarbons using a dehydrogenation catalyst and a polymer-porous solid composite membrane capable of separating hydrogen from the effluent of the dehydrogenation reaction.
Abstract:
Poly(vinyl ether) amines having formula (I), wherein A is an amine moiety having at least one basic nitrogen atom; R1 is a hydrocarbyl group having a sufficient number of carbon atoms to render the poly(vinyl ether) amine soluble in hydrocarbons boiling in the gasoline or diesel fuel range; R2 is an alkylene group having 2 to about 8 carbon atoms; R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 are each independently hydrogen or a lower alkyl group having 1 to about 4 carbon atoms; R9 is an alkyl group having 1 to about 10 carbon atoms; m is 0 or 1; and n is an integer from 5 to 99. The poly(vinyl ether) amines of formula (I) are useful as fuel additives for the prevention and control of engine deposits.
