    Abstract: A motorized exoskeleton device for facilitating locomotion for a user, the device including, a torso base for affixing to the torso of the user, a pair of limb members configured to be coupled to a lower extremity of the user. Each limb member includes, a first support segment and a second support segment, where the first support segment is superior to the second support segment two motorized joints, one of the motorized joints connecting the first support segment to the second support segment and an other motorized joint connecting the first support segment to the torso base and two motors configured to move the motorized joints, wherein the motors are coupled to the superior support segment.

    Abstract: Embodiments of an apparatus, method and systems for collapsing/lowering an exoskeleton device comprising at least one motor and at least one component are disclosed. In some embodiments, the device is configured to be moved by the at least one motor. When at least one of a plurality of faults including power faults such as a low power fault and a power failure fault, electrical faults, software faults and mechanical faults are detected in the powering the exoskeleton device, one or more components of the device may be decelerated via the at least one motor.

The harness apparatus may comprise a limb support, a support locking element, a support holder configured to define a space for receiving and securing the support locking element at least partially within the space, a connection element configured for connection to the exoskeleton device; and an articulation member configured to articulate with the connection element. Further, the apparatus may include a retaining element configured to retain the support locking element at least partially within the space. At least a portion of the limb support can include a curved portion configured to correspond to a curvature of a limb when adjacent the limb.

    Abstract: A locomotion assisting exoskeleton device includes a plurality of braces, including a trunk support for affixing to the part of the torso of a person and leg segment braces each leg segment brace for connecting to a section of a leg of the person. The device further includes at least one motorized joint for connecting two of the braces and for providing relative angular movement between the two braces. The device includes at least one tilt sensor mounted on the exoskeleton device for sensing a tilt of the exoskeleton, and a controller for receiving sensed signals from the tilt sensor and programmed with an algorithm with instructions for actuating the motorized joints in accordance with the sensed signals.
