PURPOSE: A polypeptide for deoxynojirimycin(DNJ) synthesis is provided to produce a large amount of DNJs using a transformant and to develop an agent for reducing blood glucose. CONSTITUTION: An amino acid sequence for DNJ biosynthesis is denoted by sequence number 10. A nucleic acid molecule relating to DNJ biosynthesis is isolated from Bacillus subtilis sp. A recombinant vector contains the nucleic acid molecules. A host cell is transformed using the recombinant vector. The host cell is yeast, Bacillus subtilis or Escherichia coli. A method for producing polypeptides for DNJ biosynthesis comprises: a step of transforming the host cells with the recombinant vector; and a step of culturing the host cells to collect polypeptides.

A proteus mirabilis derived amino acid deaminase gene is provided to massively produce various functional organic acid by bioconversion with amino acid substrate. A gene having the activity of amino acid deaminase which is isolated from proteus mirabilis CC3-1 has a nucleotide of the sequence number 1. An enzyme protein is produced from the gene. A recombinant vector comprises the gene. The tranformant is transformed with the recombinant vector. The transformant is selected among E.coli, Streptomyces sp. bacteria, Saccharomyces sp. yeast, Pichia sp. yeast and Rhodotorula sp. yeast. The functional organic acid is produced by performing bioconversion of the enzyme with amino acid which is a substrate. The substrate is selected among a phenyl alanine, isleucine, leucine, tyrosine, valine and lysine.

본 발명은 유해세균의 성장을 억제하는 신규 미생물 및 이를 유효성분으로 하는 미생물 첨가제에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로 유해세균의 성장을 억제하는 유기산 및 그의 유도체를 생산하고 우수한 내산성, 내담즙성 및 항균력을 나타내는 신규 미생물 락토바실러스 펜토수스 ( Lactobacillus pentosus ) K34 및 이를 유효성분으로 함유하는 미생물 첨가제에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 락토바실러스 펜토수스 K34는 페닐유기산, 인돌유기산 및 그의 유도체를 생산하여 동물조직에서 병기를 유발하는 유해세균의 성장을 효과적으로 억제함으로써 사료, 식품, 화장품, 의약품 등의 첨가제로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

PURPOSE: Provided are novel microorganism, Lactobacillus pentosus K34, and a microorganism additive containing the same as an active ingredient. The microorganism produces organic acids and their derivatives which inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria and have antibacterial activity and tolerance to acid and bile. They are used as microbial additives in feed, food, cosmetics and drugs. CONSTITUTION: The microorganism, Lactobacillus pentosus K34, produces phenyl organic acid(POA) and derivative phenyl organic acid(DPOA), indole organic acid(IOA) and derivative indole organic acid(DIOA) which inhibit the growth of harmful bacterial selected from a group consisting of Salmonella gallinarum, S. aureus, H. pylori, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, S. cerevisiae, E. coli, Phizopus stolonifer, Staphylococcus aureus and Propionic bacterium acnes. The microorganism additive is prepared by the process of mixing the microorganism cultured from Lactobacillus pentosus K34, with adjuvant, or recovering the microorganism, drying by heat or freeze drying.
