Abstract:
PURPOSE: An airbag cushion is provided to resolve appearance problems when being installed in a vehicle by compressing the circumference of a cushion body folded with a connection tether and decreasing the thickness of the cushion body. CONSTITUTION: An airbag cushion comprises a cushion body (100), a housing (300), and a connection tether (500). The cushion body is injected with gas by being unfolded to protect a passenger in a collision. The cushion body is folded and inserted into the housing. One end (520) of the connection tether is connected to the cushion body and the other end (540) of the connection tether is connected to the housing to integrate the cushion body with the housing. The connection tether covers the circumference of the folded cushion body and is inserted into the housing with the cushion body.

본 발명은 차량용 사이드 에어백 장치에 관한 것으로, 승객과 대면하는 에어백 쿠션(12)의 일측면 안쪽에 테더부재(20)가 결합됨에 따라 에어백 쿠션(12)이 전개될 때에 벤트홀(17)이 위치한 에어백 쿠션(12)의 전방부가 차량의 도어쪽으로 회전하지 않게 되고, 이로 인해 벤트홀(17)의 막힘 현상이 발생하지 않게 됨으로써 승객의 안전을 한층 더 안전하게 보호할 수 있도록 된 것이다.

PURPOSE: A side airbag for a vehicle is provided to prevent arms from clogging by simultaneously spreading the airbag to an upper side and a lower side by simultaneously discharging gas discharged by a gas distributor to the upper side and the lower side of a cushion unit. CONSTITUTION: A side airbag for a vehicle comprises an inflator(10), a cushion unit(20), and a gas distributor(30). The inflator discharges gas by an external signal. The cushion unit is spread by the gas flowing from the inflator. The gas distributor is arranged inside the cushion unit. The gas distributor sends the gas to an upper side and a lower side of the cushion unit. One side of the gas distributor is connected to the inflator. The other side of the gas distributor is formed to be divided to the upper side and the lower side of the cushion unit.

PURPOSE: An OCS(Occupant Classification System) for a vehicle is provided to ensure improved occupant classification performance by applying electric fields created by two electrodes only on the top of a seat. CONSTITUTION: An OCS for a vehicle includes a heater part and an occupant classification sensor(10). The heater part is located under a seat cover. The occupant classification sensor is installed on the top of the heater part and senses an occupant. In the occupant classification sensor, two electrodes(11,13) are arranged side by side on the same plane.

PURPOSE: A passenger identification apparatus for a vehicle, which supplies DC and AC voltage to a passenger sensor and a seat heater by alternative switching, is provided to prevent simultaneous supply of DC and AC voltage and protect a passenger sensor from the electric field formed by DC voltage. CONSTITUTION: A passenger identification apparatus for a vehicle comprises first and second power supply units, a passenger sensor unit(140), a seat heater unit(120), and first and second switches. The first power supply unit outputs AC voltage and the second power supply unit outputs DC voltage. The capacitance of the passenger sensor unit is changed with the AC voltage component of the first power supply unit according to the electric permittivity of a passenger. The seat heater part generates heat with the DC voltage component of the second power supply unit. The first switch is connected between the first power supply unit and the passenger sensor unit and the second switch is switched alternately with the first switch.
