Abstract:
A short PN code generating device in a mobile communication network having a Nx CDMA communication system performing spreading at an Nx chip rate using a short PN code of chip length Nx2k and a 1x CDMA communication system performing spreading at a 1x chip rate using a short PN code of chip length 2k. The device generates a short PN code such that the Nx CDMA communication system can distinguish at least the same number of base stations as the 1x CDMA communication system can distinguish. The device includes a sequence generator for generating an m-sequence having a chip length longer than the chip length Nx2k to output an I-component short PN code; and a short PN code generator for switching the generated m-sequence at predetermined chip periods to alternately output the m-sequence as an I-component short PN code and a Q-component short PN code.

PURPOSE: Diversity assembly apparatus and method for public channel of communication system are provided to overcome the weakness of the previous diversity assembly apparatus that bring about collision problem because two signals interfered with each other signal. CONSTITUTION: The diversity assembly apparatus and method for public channel of communication system comprise: base station that send message 1, moving station that receives the message 1 form the base station and that select the channel for sending message 2 during idle time by channel recognizer signal at every time, controller that generate certain extension signal used between promised moving stations and that uses long code, antenna that receive positive directional linked RF signal, repetition spreader, orthogonal spreader that make reverse packet access channel message and that do channel coding and repetition, base station controller that set up channel that is used for accessing to the certain moving station, searcher that has many fingers demodulating signals receive from many sector antennas.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling powers of an orthogonal code spreading channel and a quasi-orthogonal code spreading channel in a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) communication system are provided to divide channel signals spread as inter-different codes, measure each SIR(Signal to Interference Ratio), and control the powers of the channels. CONSTITUTION: The first channel generator including the first channel encoder(11), the first interleaver(13), and a multiplier(15) spreads the first data as an orthogonal code and generates the first channel signal. The second channel generator including the second channel encoder(12), the second interleaver(14), and a multiplier(16) spreads the second data as a quasi-orthogonal code and generates the second channel signal. The first gain adjuster(17) adjusts a power gain of the first channel signal. The second gain adjuster(18) adjusts a power gain of the second channel signal. A spreader including an adder(20) and a multiplier(21) adds the first and second channel signals and spreads the added signal. The controller(19) controls the power gain values of the first and second gain adjusters(17,18).

PURPOSE: A method for controlling a power of a forward link in a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) communication system is provided to measure the intensities of forward link signals received from a plurality of BTSs(Base Transceiver Stations) in a terminal, output a power control instruction to a corresponding BTS through a reverse link, and control the power of the forward link according to the power control instruction of the reverse link in corresponding BTSs. CONSTITUTION: A terminal calculates energies of signals received from cell A and B BTSs(825). The terminal compares sum energies of the signals transmitted from each cell BTS with a threshold value corresponding to a corresponding cell BTS and determines a power control instruction to be transmitted through a reverse link(827). The terminal transmits the determined power control instructions through the reverse link of the cell A and B BTSs(829,831). The cell A BTS analyzes the power control instruction transmitted from the terminal and calculates a power of a forward link data channel(833). The cell B BTS analyzes the power control instruction transmitted from the terminal and calculates a power of a forward link data channel(835).

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for allocating a common packet channel in a CDMA communication system is provided to transmit messages through a common channel in a CDMA communication system. CONSTITUTION: If 3 SI(Status Indicator) bits(S0-S2) are inputted to a repeater(501), the repeater(501) iterates the inputted SI bits according to control information that the SI bit number is 3 and outputs 60 iterative bit streams in the form of S0, S1, S2, S0, S1, S2, ..., S0, S1, S2. The 60 iterative bit streams are inputted to a coder(503) by the 4 bits. The coder(503) codes the bits of the inputted bit streams into (8,4) bi-orthogonal codes and outputs coded symbols by eights. If all of the 60 iterative bit streams are coded in this manner, total 120 symbols are outputted from the coder(503).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for controlling a forward power of a mobile communication system in a discontinuous transfer mode is provided to correctly determine a frame state in a channel environment which a receiver is transmitted in the discontinuous transfer mode, to effectively control the forward power even when a frame is not transmitted. CONSTITUTION: If a power control command is received from a terminal, a system checks whether a former frame is transmitted(202). If so, the system transmits a power control bit for decreasing a power when a signal is received from the terminal(206) according to good data reception. If the former frame is transmitted, the system transmits a power control bit for increasing the power when a signal is received from the terminal according to a bad data reception(208). If the former frame is not transmitted, the system transmits a power control bit for decreasing the power when signal passing data are received from the terminal(212). If the former frame is not transmitted, the system transmits a power control bit for increasing the power when another signal is received from the terminal(214).

PURPOSE: A reservation multi-access control apparatus and method in mobile telecommunication system is provided to assign a reward common channel by a base station and control the power of the reward common channel. CONSTITUTION: A reservation multi-access control apparatus in mobile telecommunication system comprises a hash identifier of plural bits and traffic information of plural bits. The hash identifier causes a terminal to privately use a reward common channel. The traffic information displays the traffic information of the reward common channel. A base station assigns the reward common channel in response to the access request message of the terminal, which transfers the message to the base station through the assigned reward common channel.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A receiving device and a method thereof in a base station is provided to perform a muti-path detection and a finger allocation, and catch a signal of a reverse link. CONSTITUTION: A detecting method in a CDMA(Cord Division Multiple Access)communications system comprises the steps of: transmitting a reverse pilot channel power by increasing the reverse pilot channel power in the time zone, which a terminal is set; catching a transmitting signal from terminals after searching the pilot channel in the set time zone, as a base station reversely diffuses reverse channel signals; the base station analyzing obtained terminal signals, and measuring a signal level and delays from each terminal.
