Abstract: PURPOSE: An intelligent flexible composite actuator is provided to implement a desired deformation by merely changing arrangement of an intelligent material. CONSTITUTION: A shape of an intelligent material(100) is deformed by an external signal. A base material(200) defines the external shape while supporting the intelligent material. The intelligent material is arranged in the inner part or the surface of the base material. At least one of in-plane deformation and out-plane deformation is implemented by changing the arrangement of the intelligent material.
