Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided are a novel silylalkyl benzoic acid derivative which is a precursor of silylalkyl benzoamide working as effective bactericide. And its manufacturing method is also provided. CONSTITUTION: The novel silylalkyl benzoic acid derivative is represented by the formula (3), wherein R is hydrogen, or a methyl group; n is 1 or 2; and X is hydrogen, meta or para-fluoro, chloro, or methyl group. And its manufacturing method is characterized by the following steps of: i) reacting a silylalkylated benzene derivative of the formula (1) with methyl grignard at 0-50 deg.C in the presence of aluminum chloride as catalyst under nitrogen gas to manufacture a trimethylsilylalkyl benzene derivative of the formula (2); and ii) oxidizing the benzene derivative at 100-150 deg.C in the presence of acetic acid cobalt as catalyst.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided are a silylalkylbenzoamid derivative of the formula (1) and its manufacturing method. And fungicide is also provided which containing the derivative as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION: The silylalkylbenzoamid of the formula (1) is manufactured by treating silylalkylbenzoic acid derivative of the formula (2) with thiochloride to obtain benzoylchloride derivative; then reacting primary or secondary amine of the formula (3). Wherein R1 is hydrogen or linear or branched alkyl of C1-C4; R2 is branched or linear alkyl of C1-C4, cycloalkyl of C1-C6, aryl, phenyl, ortho-, meta-, or para-chlorophenyl; R3 is hydrogen or methyl group; X is hydrogen, meta- or para-fluoro, chloro or methyl group; Me is methyl group; and n is 1 or 2.
