    Abstract: PURPOSE: Artificial marble is provided to use a chip for artificial marble which contains metal fibers and/or inorganic fibers, thereby having natural stone pattern and improving staining resistance and abrasive. CONSTITUTION: A chip for artificial marble comprises metal fibers and/or inorganic fibers. The chip for artificial marble includes curable resin and inorganic filler. The metal fibers and inorganic fibers have an average length of 1-6 mm and an average particle diameter of 10-15 μm. The artificial marble comprises 100.0 parts by weight of the curable resin matrix, 40-100 parts by weight of the chip for artificial marble, and 140-200 parts by weight of the inorganic filler. A manufacturing method of the chip for artificial marble comprises following steps. (a) The chip for artificial marble, and the inorganic filler and additive are mixed with a curable resin matrix. A composition for the artificial marble is manufactured. And (b) the composition is solidified at 25-180°C
