Abstract:
PURPOSE: Artificial marble is provided to use a chip for artificial marble which contains metal fibers and/or inorganic fibers, thereby having natural stone pattern and improving staining resistance and abrasive. CONSTITUTION: A chip for artificial marble comprises metal fibers and/or inorganic fibers. The chip for artificial marble includes curable resin and inorganic filler. The metal fibers and inorganic fibers have an average length of 1-6 mm and an average particle diameter of 10-15 μm. The artificial marble comprises 100.0 parts by weight of the curable resin matrix, 40-100 parts by weight of the chip for artificial marble, and 140-200 parts by weight of the inorganic filler. A manufacturing method of the chip for artificial marble comprises following steps. (a) The chip for artificial marble, and the inorganic filler and additive are mixed with a curable resin matrix. A composition for the artificial marble is manufactured. And (b) the composition is solidified at 25-180°C

PURPOSE: A marble chip manufacturing method, a marble chip manufactured by the method, and artificial marble including the marble chip are provided to manufacture artificial marble with specific patterns by freely controlling the shape, color, and material of marble chips. CONSTITUTION: A marble chip manufacturing method is as follows. A composition of marble chips is poured into a mold after vacuum-defoaming, wherein the marble chip composition is composed of a binder and reactive monomer at a weight ratio of 1:1~9:1. The marble chip composition is cured and separated from the mold.
