Abstract: 본 발명은 모바일 IPTV 시스템에 있어서, IPTV 스트림을 위한 데이터를 기본 계층과 향상 계층으로 인코딩하여 출력하는 IPTV 헤드엔드와, 상기 IPTV 헤드엔드로부터 IPTV 스트림을 수신하고 미리 결정된 변조 기법과 부호화율의 조합에 따라 IPTV 스트림의 향상 계층을 부분적으로 절삭하여 전송 IPTV 스트림을 출력하는 기지국과, 상기 기지국으로부터 상기 전송 IPTV 스트림을 수신하는 이동 단말을 포함한다. 이러한 본 발명에 따라 망 내의 사용자 분포의 특성을 고려하여 IPTV 서비스 제공시 가장 효율적으로 사용자들의 QoS를 만족 시켜 줄 수 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for offering a mobile IPTV(Internet Protocol TV) service and a system thereof in order to provide a video service of high quality to users are provided to efficiently transmit the encoded video through H.264 MGS technique on WiMAX. CONSTITUTION: An IPTV headend(100) encodes data to a base layer for IPTV stream. A BS(Base Station)(220) receives the IPTV stream from the IPTV headend. The BS partially cuts the enhancement layer of the IPTV stream according to the combination of the coding rate. The BS outputs the transmission IPTV stream. An SS(Subscriber Station)(300) receives the transmission IPTV stream from the BS.
