Abstract: PURPOSE: A dialing apparatus having a haptic function, capable of offering tactile sensitivity information according to device control is provided to conveniently control the devices of home network through a dial instead of a complex multi-functional remote controller. CONSTITUTION: A motor(12) generates torque according to the rotation of a dial(11). An encoder(13) generates pulse corresponding to the torque. An encoder counter(14) calculates the torque of the dial according to the counting value of the encoder counter. The controller generates a control signal for haptic effect. A motor controller(18) drives the motor according to the control signal. The motor controller operates by the torque of the motor.
