The present invention relates to an apparatus for forecasting a market volume, a method of forecasting a market volume, and a storage medium for storing a program for forecasting a market volume. An embodiment of the present invention provides an apparatus for forecasting a market volume, and the apparatus includes an information reception unit for receiving a technology or a product keyword from a user; a hype cycle detection unit for receiving bibliographic information including search traffic information, and detecting a hype cycle from the search traffic information for the keyword received by the information reception unit; and a forecasting model performing unit which calculates the maximum market volume at a specific timing of the detected hype cycle, creates a forecasting model by using the calculated maximum market volume, calculates a first future market volume based on the created forecasting model, or calculates a second future market volume by using search traffic information of a consumer selection attribute keyword, which is a keyword associated with the keyword, and a revolution analysis model for sales for timings when a hype cycle is not detected. A user is provided with the first future market volume or the second future market volume calculated by the forecasting model performing unit.
