Abstract:
A home server device for guaranteeing QoS(Quality of Service) in home networks and a QoS guaranteeing method using the same are provided to enable a home application service requesting OoS guarantee to reserve resources through a QoS manager and a QoS proxy of the home server and enable a packet classifier and a class setter to separate a corresponding service into an IP(Internet Protocol) address and a service port, thereby providing an existing besteffort service and guaranteeing the requested QoS of a guaranteed service up to a terminal within a home network. A home server device(200) comprises the followings: a storage; a packet classifier(203) for classifying applied packets by referring to a QoS(Quality of Service) management table(222); a besteffort TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) packet controller(204) for controlling a TCP flow of a besteffort service by referring to the packet classifier; a class setting unit(205) for physically setting a service class of the packets classified by the packet classifier; a service managing unit which registers a service profile in the QoS management table and sets initial reservation; a QoS proxy unit(202) which is interworked with an application QoS negotiator installed in a terminal(230), transmits a QoS guarantee request of the terminal to the QoS managing unit, and transmits a response to the QoS guarantee request to the terminal; and a QoS managing unit(201) which confirms reception availability by referring to information respectively stored in the QoS management table and a resource management table with respect to the QoS guarantee request transmitted from the QoS proxy unit, and if so, performs registration in the QoS management table and transmits the response to the QoS guarantee request to the QoS proxy unit.
Abstract:
The present invention is to consecutively provide multimedia between different terminals. The present invention may consecutively provide various multimedia services which appear next to the different terminals by providing an apparatus and a method for providing virtualization-based multimedia to create a virtual machine for each terminal and provide the multimedia by setting a session with the same environment as the environment of the session on which the multimedia is provided to the generated virtual machine.

A dynamic traffic management device for ensuring QoS(Quality of Service) for each service in a home network environment and a method therefor are provided to dynamically control the amount of bandwidths used by best-effort traffic in the home network environment associated with the Internet on the basis of a home server/home gateway, thereby ensuring QoS for a particular service. A resource manager(211) manages available network resources and traffic processed in a home network environment, and generates QoS lists(215) which refer to packet information of services to be ensured. A traffic controller(212) performs a traffic control function by searching traffic flows of currently serviced best-effort services until bandwidths are obtained as many as being requested. A traffic classifier(214) searches all packets inputted/outputted to the home network environment, and decides whether the packets correspond to the QoS lists(215). A traffic marker(213) marks the classified packets. A scheduler(231) supports scheduling by a predetermined method.

According to the present invention, an object migration system for migrating a web-based content service includes two or more web-based terminals which transmit a web-based content service migration request including object information, and service web-based content through received virtualization objects and web pages; a virtualization server which allocates a new virtual machine based on object information received from one of the two or more web-based terminals, and transmits virtualization objects created from content corresponding to the received object information to another destination terminal according to the received object information among the two or more web-based terminals; and a web server which provides the web pages with the two or more web-based terminals. Another destination terminal services the same web-based content as the one web-based terminal at the same point of time.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for distributing a group key based on public-keys are provided to use group key and public key values for safely classifying the group key by the join-in and withdrawal request of a user. CONSTITUTION: A group key distribution unit (410) distributes a group key being used in a group, or a new group key. A public key/secret key generation unit (420) generates a server public key and a server secret key before the distribution of the group key. A group key generation unit (430) outputs the group key being used in the group to the group key distribution unit, and generates the new group key to be distributed to other users and outputs to the group key distribution unit. A group management unit (440) joins a new user to a join-in request group, and withdraws a withdrawal user from the relative group. PURPOSE: A diversity gain providing wireless communication system for a multicast service is provided to improve multicast service providing efficiency by reducing interference between cells of a repeater. CONSTITUTION: Repeaters(310~312) transmits data to a terminal and receives the data from the terminal by using a specific frequency band according to the distribution of the terminal on a wireless communication system. A base station(300) transmits the data to the repeater and receives the data from the repeater by using the frequency band and other frequency band of the repeater.

A home server/home gateway apparatus having a function of guaranteeing QoS of multicast traffic service in a home network environment and its method are provided to solve a problem of the related art that a multicast-based service such as an IPTV, multi-point online games and multi-point video conference cannot be possibly performed in a home network environment. A topology management unit(223) detects and manages topology information in a home network. A QoS management unit(225) receives a request for providing a multicast stream with guaranteed QoS from a premises terminal and requests for resource reservation. A resource management unit(228) manages network resources of the home network, searches resources by referring to topology information managed by the topology management unit(223) and reserves them. A IGMP(Internet Group Management Protocol) proxy unit(222) performs multicast routing according to a group subscription request received from the premises terminal. An IGMP snooping unit(221) sets IGMP snooping information and priority information of a switch(230) according to the topology information to guarantee QoS of multicast traffic.
