Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a valve seat for a gas fuel car is provided to improve wear resistance by adding Fe-Cr or Fe-Mo to form double carbide or intermetallic compounds. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a valve seat for a gas fuel car comprises the steps of: molding a material which is mainly composed of Fe and includes C of 0.8-1.2wt.%, Ni of 1.0-3.0wt.%, Co of 7.0-10.0wt.%, Cr of 4.5-7.5wt.%, Mo of 8.0-11.0wt.%, Mn of 1.5-3.0wt.%, and Ca of 0.1-0.5wt.% at a pressure of 6-9ton/cm^2, sintering the molded body in a nitrogen atmosphere at a temperature of 1,130-1,160°C for 30-90 minutes, placing a copper infiltration material on the sintered body and implementing second sintering at a temperature of 1110-1130°C for 20-40 minutes, maintaining the infiltrated sintered body at a temperature of 880-930°C for 60 minutes and oil-cooling the sintered body, and heat-treating the cooled sintered body at 550°C for 120 minutes.
