    Abstract: PURPOSE: Installation structure of a dust cover for a tie rod end is provided to prevent foreign matters from being infiltrated into a ball joint by a dust cover with mounting a retainer ring in the ball joint housing firmly. CONSTITUTION: A retainer ring(1) is combined with a ball joint housing(3) of a tie rod end by surrounding the end of a dust cover(114). A bent protrusion part(1-1) is protruded in the retaining ring, and the retaining ring is inserted to the ball joint housing. An assembling groove(3-1) is formed to insert the retainer ring. A bent recessed part(3-2) is formed in the assembling groove, and contacted to the bent protrusion part of the retainer ring. The dust cover is combined with the ball joint housing by installing the retainer ring, and the bent protrusion part is combined with the bent recessed part of the assembling groove. Inflow of foreign matters is prevented with the dust cover by mounting the retainer ring firmly.
