    Abstract: A catalyst for purifying exhaust gas considering a flow pattern and a preparation method thereof are provided to maximize purification efficiency of the catalyst, and to minimize the amount of noble metal by using a coating method with mass transfer and flow of reaction gas. A catalyst(15) for purifying exhaust gas includes a first coating region and a second coating region(13). The first coating region is coated with the catalyst of high concentration to be activated rapidly in an initial process of noble metal. The second coating region is formed on a rear direction of the first coating region, and coated with the catalyst having lower concentration than the concentration of the first coating layer. Each coating liquid of difference concentration is formed through an inhaler of each channel. The coating length of the first coating region is made of the structure which becomes gradually longer.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A drive shaft and a method for fabricating the same are provided to improve coupling reliability by inserting a metal insert into a composite material tube in order to maximize a torque transferring efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A composite material tube(101) is fabricated through a filament winding process. A metal insert tube(103) is formed in such a manner that the metal insert tube(103) has an outer diameter identical to an inner diameter of the composite material tube(101) while maintaining a plus tolerance therebetween. A metal universal joint(102) is formed in such a manner that the metal universal joint(102) has an inner diameter substantially identical to an outer diameter of the composite material tube(101) while maintaining a minus tolerance therebetween. Due to expansion of the metal insert tube(103) and compression of the metal universal joint(102), frictional force between the metal universal joint(102) and the composite material tube(101) is greater than maximum transfer torque.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A propeller shaft coupling method for a vehicle is provided to improve static twist strength and endurance of the propeller shaft by coupling the propeller shaft through a circular hot press-fitting method. CONSTITUTION: A metal insert(12) is inserted into a composite material tube(10) of a propeller shaft. Then, a metal connector(14) is heated. After that, the composite material tube(10) of the propeller shaft having the metal insert(12) is hot press-fitted into the metal connector(14). At this time, a width of the metal insert(12) is identical to a length of the composite material tube(10) inserted into the metal connector(14). When performing the hot press-fitting process, the metal connector(14) is heated up to 360deg.C by using a band heater in such a manner that the composite material tube(10) is prevented from being burnt.
