    Abstract: An idle speed control actuator of an internal combustion engine is provided to precisely regulate the amount of air by a pulse control without bringing the actuator into contact with the inner surface of a housing. The idle speed control actuator of an internal combustion engine includes a housing(22) and a rotational body. The housing has an inlet and an outlet. The rotational body is rotated to open and close a passage communicated with the inlet and the outlet. The rotational body includes a butterfly valve(24) the opposite ends of which close the inner wall surface of the housing. The butterfly valve is rotated only by a width interval of the inlet. An avoidance recess is formed on the inner surface of the housing on the opposite side of the inlet by a width interval of the inlet so that the butterfly valve cannot form a contact surface with the inner wall surface of the housing.
