An unevenly catalyst distributed multilayer filter is provided to obtain an effect that is capable of excluding the use of a diesel oxidation catalyst by adding porous ceramic particles coated with a catalyst to a multilayer filter. In a multilayer filter mounted on an exhaust system to purify exhaust gas generated from an engine, an unevenly catalyst distributed multilayer filter is characterized in that a multilayer filter formed by coating a catalyst on a metal foam plate mesh(22) is mounted between inner and outer housings of a filter part. The metal foam plate mesh of the multilayer filter is formed such that the metal foam plate mesh has pores with different sizes formed therein. The metal foam plate mesh of the multilayer filter is formed such that pores having pore sizes of 800, 500 and 450 mum are formed from a region corresponding to 25% of the diameter direction to a region corresponding to 75% of the diameter direction in the metal foam plate mesh.

A multi-layered filter for a vehicle is provided to effectively purify an exhaust gas generated from a diesel engine without using a separate diesel oxide catalyst. A multi-layered filter for a vehicle includes a housing(3) and a filter(4). The housing is coupled to a burner part and has a predetermined space(2), of which both ends are opened. The filter is inserted into the space, and has a multi -layered structure formed of silicon carbide particles. The filter includes a filter material formed of ceramic alumina coated with catalyst, and silicon carbide particles. The filter includes a surface layer formed of silicon carbon particles, and the other layer formed of a filter material including ceramic alumina coated with catalyst, and silicon carbide particles.

A mounting structure for a baffle of a muffler of a vehicle is provided to improve the exhaust gas purification efficiency of a muffler and to reduce the air pollution by exhaust gas by coupling a baffle and a muffler housing using an expansion flange and a gasket not to have a gap between the baffle and the muffler housing. A mounting structure for a baffle of a muffler of a vehicle is formed by inserting and coupling an expansion flange(5a) of a front baffle(5) and two gaskets(7) on a part where a central block of a muffler housing(1) and an exhaust gas inlet-side block are fastened, wherein a central baffle(4) and a rear baffle(3) built in the muffler housing are provided with many exhaust gas moving holes(4a,3a) respectively to have a non-sealing structure, and the front baffle is coupled with metal substrate(6) having an oxidation catalyst and a filter within over the whole circumference by welding to have a sealing structure.

An exhaust gas reduction device with catalyst carriers is provided to dip a large amount of catalysts in the carriers with high temperature and high flux of exhaust gas and a relatively small amount of catalysts in the carriers with low temperature and low flux of exhaust gas, thereby improving exhaust gas reduction efficiency. An exhaust gas reduction device with catalyst carriers comprises catalyst carriers(200). Catalysts more than the set amount are dipped in the carriers which pass through the exhaust gas faster than the mean flow rate, and catalysts less than the set amount are dipped in the carriers which pass through the exhaust gas slower than the mean flow rate. The amount of catalysts dipped in the carriers is proportional to the flux of the exhaust gas passing through each catalyst carrier.
