A polymer electrolyte for a high temperature fuel cell, and a polymer electrolyte fuel cell containing the polymer electrolyte are provided to improve the electrochemical stability by suppressing the elution of an anion due to the water of an electrode. A polymer electrolyte for a high temperature fuel cell comprises 1-30 wt% of a boron-based compound represented by BY or BZ3; 50-95 wt% of a polymer matrix; and 5-95 wt% of an anionic compound, wherein Y is PO4 or N; and Z is Cl, I, Br, CH3O, CF3CH2O, C3H7CH2O, (CF3)2CHO, (CF3)2(C6H5)O, (CF3)3CO, C6H5O, FC6H4O, F2C6H3O, F4C6HO, C6F5O, CF3C6H4O, (CF3)2C6H3O or C6F5. Preferably the polymer matrix is polybenzimidazole, polybenzothiazole, polybenzoxazole, polyimide, polycarbonate, or their copolymer or mixture.

Provided are a novel polyimide-polybenzimidazole copolymer, a polymer electrolyte membrane comprising the copolymer which is excellent in hydrogen ion conductivity, electrochemical stability and thermal stability even in the anhydrous state of high temperature, and its preparation method. The polyimide-polybenzimidazole copolymer is represented by the formula 1, wherein R is a compound having a diamine group; n is an integer of 5-80; and n+m is 100. Preferably n:m is 20:80 in the polymer membrane. The method comprises the steps of dissolving the polyimide-polybenzimidazole copolymer of the formula 1 in an organic solvent to prepare a polyimide-polybenzimidazole copolymer solution; coating the solution on a substrate to prepare a polymer membrane; and dipping the polymer membrane in an acid solution to prepare a polymer electrolyte membrane.

PURPOSE: A polysulfone-based polymer, a polymer electrolyte membrane including thereof, an membrane electrode assembly including thereof, a fuel cell, and a manufacturing method of the polysulfone-based polymer are provided to secure the high hydrogen ion conductivity, and the low methanol transmittance. CONSTITUTION: A polysulfone-based polymer includes a recurring unit marked with chemical formula 1. In the chemical formula 1, X is a single bond or Ar1. The Ar1 is a substituted or non-substituted arylene with 6~20 carbons. M1 and M2 are hydrogen, lithium, sodium, or potassium, independently. A proton conductive reinforced composite membrane is such that a sulfonated hydrocarbon-based polymer composite material is impregnated into a porous polymer matrix. In the sulfonated hydrocarbon-based polymer composite material, an additive which is a polymer blend of single monomer or a mixture selected from the group consisting of vinylidene fluoride, hexafluoropropylene, trifluoroethylene and tetrafluoroethylene.

PURPOSE: A polymer electrolyte membrane is provided to improve membrane/electrode interface adhesion which improves H-ion conductivity and to secure long time stability of a hydrocarbon polymer membrane electrode assembly. CONSTITUTION: A polymer electrolyte membrane has 0.01-50 weight% of a polymer blend introduced to a proton-conducting hydrocarbon-based polymer which is a sulfonated polysulfone ketone copolymer. The sulfonated polysulfone ketone copolymer comprises an aromatic sulfone repeating unit, an aromatic ketone repeating unit, and an aromatic compound repeating unit which connects the repeating units by ether bond. At least one kind of the aromatic sulfone repeating unit and aromatic ketone repeating unit has a sulfonic acid or sulfonate substitution.
