Abstract: The invention relates to a composition which contains (a) between 1 and 99 weight % of a pigment (I) with a primary particle size of 5 nm to 100 .mu.m, which is a solid Ia or a compound Ib acting as cathode material in electrochemical cells or a compound Ic acting as anode material in electrochemical cells or a mixture of the solid Ia with the compound Ib or Ic; (b) between 1 and 99 weight % of a polymer material (II) which contains: (IIa) between 1 and 100 weight % of a polymer or copolymer (IIa) which has reactive groups (RG) in a terminal or lateral position or at the chain, which can give rise to thermal and/or UV radiation-induced cross-linking reactions, and (IIb) between 0 and 99 weight % of at least one polymer or copolymer (IIb) which has no reactive groups (RG).

Abstract: The invention relates to a mixture (Ia) containing a mix (IIa) comprised of a) 1 to 95 wt. % of a solid (III), preferably of a basic solid (III), with a primary particle size ranging from 5 nm to 20 .mu.m, and b) 5 to 99 wt. % of a polymer mass (IV) obtainable by polymerization of b1) 5 to 100 wt. % in relation to the mass (IV) of a condensation product (V), and b2) 0 to 95 wt. % in relation to the mass (IV) of an additional compound (VIII) with an average molecular weight (numeric mean) of at least 5,000 and with polyether segments in main or side chains. Said mix (IIa) is also comprised of at least one ester of general formula (E1) to (E5).

Abstract: A layer of a photopolymerizable mixture for the production of relief plates and printing plates contain (a) one or more photopolymerizable olefinically unsaturated compounds, (b) one or more photoinitiators which, on exposure, initiate rapid photopolymerization in the layer, and (c) a combination, which on exposure does not initiate any appreciable photopolymerization in the layer and comprises (c1) a soluble acridinium, phenothiazinium, phenoxazinium or phenazinium dye and (c2) a mild reducing agent for the dye (c1). The layer gives an improved relief image (greater shadow well depths) in the production of relief plates, and is also advantageous in the production of gravure printing plates. On exposure, it undergoes a color change which facilitates evaluation of the exposed layers before development.

Abstract: A composition comprising:(a) from 0 to less than 1% by weight of a pigment (I) having a primary particle size of from 5 nm to 100 mum which is a solid Ia or a compound Ib which acts as cathode material in electrochemical cells or a compound Ic which acts as anode material in electrochemical cells or a mixture of the solid Ia with the compound Ib or the compound Ic,(b) more than 99 to 100% by weight of a polymeric material (II) which comprises:(IIa)from 1 to 100% by weight of a polymer or copolymer (IIa) containing reactive groups (RG) on the chain in terminal and/or lateral positions which are capable of crosslinking reactions in the presence of heat and/or with UV radiation, and(IIb) from 0 to 99% by weight of at least one polymer or copolymer (IIb) which contains no reactive groups (RG).

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing shaped bodies, preferably for a film-like shaped body, comprising the following steps: I) compounding and melt extrusion of a mixture (I) comprising a mixture (II) containing a) 1 to 95 wt. % of at least a pigment (III) with a primary particle size ranging from 5 nm to 20mm, selected from the group consisting of one electrochemically inert solid (IIIa), of a compound (IIIb) capable of giving off lithium ions when charged, and a compound (IIIc), capable of receiving lithium ions when charged, and a mixture of solid (IIIa) with compounds (IIIb) or compound (IIIc), b) 5 to 99 wt. % of at least one polymer binding agent (IV), and c) 0 to 200 wt. % of at least one softening agent (V) in relation to the overall amount of constituents a) and b), wherein the weight percentage of mixture (II) in mixture (I) ranges from 1 to 100 wt. %, and excluding mixtures (I) comprising mixtures (II) containing a copolymer consisting of vinylidene fluoride (Vdf) and hexafluoropropylene (HFP) with a HFP content ranging from 8 to 25 wt. % as a polymer binding agent (IV) and a compound as a softening agent (V) which is selected from the group consisting of dibutyl phthalate, dimethyl phthalate, diethyl phthalate, tris(butoxy)ethyl phosphate, propylene carbonate, ethylene carbonate, trimethyl trimellitate and mixtures thereof.

Abstract: The mixture (I) contains a mixture (II) consisting of: (a) 1-95 wt.% of a solid (III) having a primary particle size of 0.01-10 mu m; and (b) 5-99 wt.% of a polymeric composition (IV) obtained by polymerising: (b1) 5-100 wt.% of an ester (V) made of a multivalent alcohol (VI) containing carbon and oxygen atoms in the main chain, and at least one molecule per molecule alcohol (VI) of an alpha - beta unsaturated carboxylic acid (VII); and (b2) 0-95 wt.% of a further compound (VIII) having an average molecular weight of ≥ 5000 with polyether segments in main and side chains. The weight of mixture (II) to mixture (I) is 35-100 wt.%.
