    Abstract: A process for dyeing textiles of cellulose fibres or mixtures of cellulose and synthetic fibres in aqueous mixtures after the extraction process in the presence of 0.1 to 10g/l of a compound of the formula (I) in which R = C6- to C18-alkyl and X = H, Na, K or NR R R R , where R , R , R and R = H, C1- to C4-alkyl or -CH''-CH''-OH. Light, uniform dyes are obtained and the coumpounds of formula (I) may be biologically removed from the waste water.

    Abstract: The use of bis-(dicarboxylic acid) diaminoalkylene derivatives of formula (I) as complex-forming agents in textile dyeing and pre- or post-treatment is claimed. In (I), R , R = H, 1-8C alkyl, 2-8C alkenyl, phenyl, benzyl, or 1-4C hydroxyalkyl or hydroxy-halo-alkyl; M = H, alkali metal, ammonium or substituted ammonium; l, m, n = 0-6; A1 = 2-3C alkylene, optionally substituted on one, two or all C atoms with one or two hydroxy, 1-6C alkyl, 2-6C alkenyl, 3-6C cycloalkyl, or 3-8C cycloalkenyl, aryl, alkylaryl, heteroaryl or alkyl-heteroaryl groups. Also claimed are: (i) a process for the pretreatment, post-treatment or dyeing of textiles or textile precursors in the manufacture or processing of textiles, in which the material is subjected to a treatment bath containing 0.01-20 (preferably 0.1-10, more preferably 0.5-3) g/l (I), and (ii) baths used for this process containing (I) in the above amounts.

    Abstract: A process for post-treating colorations with reactive dyes on textiles of cellulose fibres or mixtures of cellulose and synthetic fibres by treating the dyed textiles with aqueous mixtures containing 0.1 to 10g/l of compounds of the formula (I), in which R = C6- to C18-alkyl and X = H, Na, K or NR R R R , where R , R , R and R = H, C1- to C4-alkyl or -CH2-CH2-OH. Fast colorations are obtained and the compounds of formula (I) may be biologically removed from the waste water.
