Abstract: A stable aqueous polymer emulsion (I) comprises: (A) polyolefin oxylates; (B) aminofunctionalized polyorganosiloxanes; (C) non-ionic emulsifiers comprising a mixture of alkoxylated higher alkanols, water and optionally additives and processing aids. A stable aqueous polymer emulsion (I) comprises: (A) polyolefin oxylates of formula (1); (B) aminofunctionalized polyorganosiloxanes of formula (2); (C) non-ionic emulsifiers comprising a mixture of alkoxylated higher alkanols, water and optionally additives and processing aids. [Image] R1>H or lower alkyl; R2>H, -COOH or another oxygen containing functional group, alkyl, alkenyl or cyclohexyl optionally substituted by -COOH or another oxygen containing functional group or R1> and R2> together have oxygen; R3>lower alkyl or alkoxy; R4>OH or R3>; Z : aminoalkyl; r : 30-200; s : 50-300; t : 1-4. An independent claim is included for a process for the preparation of the emulsion (I) by mixing components of (A) and (C) in a melt at 100-150 [deg]C; mixing the melt with an aqueous component solution at 85-100 [deg]C such that it is finely distributed; addition of component (B) followed by homogenizing at room temperature.
