    Abstract: A process for the production of coatings based on reaction products of (A) polyhydroxypolyacrylate resins obtained from hydroxyalkyl esters of acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid, alkyl esters of acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid, and one or more polymerizable, olefinically unsaturated nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds, with or without vinylaromatics, (meth)acrylamides and other monomers, with (B) isocyanurate-containing polyisocyanates which may or may not contain biuret groups, have a functionality of from 2.5 to 6 and consist of a mixture of polyisocyanates possessing predominantly cycloaliphatically bonded isocyanate groups with those possessing predominantly aliphatically bonded isocyanate groups. The process is particularly useful for coating metal components.

    Abstract: An energy absorber which can be re-used repeatedly and has an almost ideal quality factor consists of a thrust plate with pin (1) and a bush (2) which are displaced relative to each other by the application of an axial force and absorb the impact energy by friction. Both components are pref. made of ULTRAMIDB3WG7 (RTM). The quality factor is raised still more if quartz powder is strewn over the rubbing surface. ADVANTAGE - This absorber has a high quality factor and can be re-positioned by using a press or an extractor.
