    Abstract: A polymer micro-suspension (A) comprises: (A1) 10-55 wt.% of a graft core consisting of an elastomeric polymer having an average particle diameter of 0.08-100 microns and (B1) 45-90 wt.% of a graft sheath consisting of an organic polymer. Independent claims are included for: (i) a process for the production of (A) by dispersing the corresponding monomers for (A1) in water in the presence of a protective colloid to form a dispersing having an average particle diameter of 0.08-100 microns, polymerisation of the droplets with a radical polymerisation initiator to a conversion of greater than 50% and optionally graft polymerisation of the resulting mixture with monomers of (B1); (ii) a molding composition comprising 0.5-80 wt.% (A), 0-79.5 wt.% of (A') an ASA, ABS or AES-polymer, 20-99.5 wt.% of (B) polymer matrix, 0-50 wt.% of (C) fibrous or particulate filler and 0-50 wt.% of (D) further additives; and (iii) fibers, film or molded articles prepared from the molding composition.
