Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel graft polymers comprising a copolymer backbone (A) as a graft base having polymeric sidechains (B) grafted thereon. The polymeric sidechains (B) are obtainable by polymerization of at least one vinyl ester monomer (B1) and optionally a further monomer (B2), wherein—if present—the weight ratio of monomer (B2) to monomer (B1) is less than 0.5. The copolymer backbone (A) copolymer backbone is obtainable by polymerization of at least two monomers selected from the group of ethylene oxide, 1,2-propylene oxide, 1,2-butylene oxide, 2,3-butylene oxide, 1,2-pentene oxide or 2,3-pentene oxide, the distribution of the alkylene oxide moieties within the copolymer backbone being in random order, and the molecular weight of the copolymer backbone Mn in g/mol being within 500 to 7000. Further claimed is a process for obtaining such a graft polymer, preferably being carried out by free-radical polymerization. Also claimed is the use of such a graft polymer within, for example, fabric and home care products, and fabric and home care products containing such a graft polymer.
Abstract:
The invention relates to glycerol acetal polyethers of general formula (I) or (II), wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and n have the meaning specified in the description. Said glycerol acetal polyethers are suitable as electrolyte solvents in a lithium cell, in particular a lithium-sulfur cell. The hydroxyl content of said glycerol acetal polyethers is preferably less than 0.2 wt %. In a method for producing said glycerol acetal polyethers, glycerol acetal polyether alcohols are reacted with a C1-C18 mono- or dialkyl sulfate or C1-C18 mono- or dialkyl sulfonate in the presence of an alkaline earth.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a battery comprising as a first component (A) a pressure vessel (A) and as a second component (B), which is inside of the pressure vessel (A), at least one electrochemical cell (B) comprising at least one cathode comprising at least one electroactive sulfur-containing material, wherein the pressure vessel (A) can be filled or is filled with a pressure medium (C) in order to generate a pressure in the range from 2 bar to 200 bar inside of said pressure vessel. The present invention further relates to a process for operating an electrochemical cell (B), wherein the electrochemical cell (B) is exposed to a hydrostatic pressure in the range from 2 bar to 200 bar.
