    Abstract: In the pneumatic radial tire, particular polyamide monofilament cords having an ellipsoidal shape in section are used in a radial carcass ply, whereby reductions of tire noise, rolling resistance and tire weight are achieved. Furthermore, such monofilament cords can be applied to a carcass ply for pneumatic bias tires for preventing the occurrence of air storing and improving tire performances.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for use in inner liners that allows pneumatic tires to have good air permeation resistance, resistance to fatigue from flexing and processability as well as improved low-temperature durability, and that makes it possible for the tire to reduce the weight, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the composition. SOLUTION: This rubber composition for use in inner liners comprises a rubber component composed of (A) 65-95 wt.% of a butyl rubber comprising >=40 wt.% of a halogenated butyl rubber, 5-25 wt.% of an epichlorohydrin rubber and 0-30 wt.% of a conjugated diene rubber, and (B) a layered or planar inorganic filler.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of breakdown failure of a rubber due to a failure of peeling of bonding and high temperature, and to restrain the early abrasion by setting a ratio of the natural rubber and butadiene rubber as compo nent of a tread rubber within a specified range, and giving tensile stress and repulsive resilience to a specified physical property. SOLUTION: A tread rubber 7 has natural rubber NR and butadiene rubber BR as a rubber component within a range of ratio NR:BR at 40:60-10:90. These two kinds of rubber NR, BR are blended within this range so as to obtain a rubber component. The tread rubber 7 has tensile stress M100 at a range 2.0-4.9 MPa, and a large shearing distorsion in the tread circumferential direction to be applied to the tread rubber 7 at the time of emergency landing from high speed floating traveling can be restrained to an appropriate value. Furthermore, since the tread rubber 7 has repulsive resilience at 62% or more, heat to be generated in the tread rubber 7 at the time of emergency landing from the high speed floating traveling can be restrained to the appropriate quantity of heat generation.
