    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for issuing a voting confirmation note with which a game voting ticket purchased through a telephone line can be confirmed. SOLUTION: A game sponsoring group receives collatable voting confirmation data from a game voter, and the voting contents corresponding to the voting confirmation data are received from the sponsoring group. Image data for the confirmation note of the voting ticket of the voting contents are prepared. The image data are transmitted to a printer with which the voter can print the image data, and the printer prints the image data.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer having a line head capable of executing multi-valued area gradation in full-color by dot and eliminating clogging in a simple structure. SOLUTION: In a pair of electrode patterns which are stacked on a lower substrate of a print head 2 and are provided for forming one dot of an ink drop, each of C ink, M ink and Y ink is held by a respective one of waiting sections 17 (17a, 17b, 17c) of hydrophilic regions partitioned by partition walls 25. Cutting electrodes 12-1 (12-1y,..., 12-4y,..., 12-3m,..., 12-2c, 12-3c,...) having different sizes which are connected thereto cut ink drops 24-3m, 24-2m,... having different sizes from the respective waiting sections 17. A mixture electrode 13 collects the ink drops to a front section to mix them, then the ink drops are collected to a drop collecting/accelerating electrode 14 to become one dot of an ink drop. The ink drop is accelerated by three accelerating electrodes 15a, 15b, 15c and is ejected on a recording paper from an ejection nozzle 8.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact ink jet printer having a waste ink-absorbing member which can uniformly absorb a sufficient amount of waste ink well. SOLUTION: A waste ink-absorbing member 45 is set to a bottom part of an entire area where a printing head 33 main scans, that is, over a record area where the printing head records on a transferred paper 46 and a non-record area of one end part of the record area. At the time of non-printing when the paper is not transferred and not recorded, purging discharge for discharge recovery is carried out uniformly over the whole of the main scanning area to the whole waste ink-absorbing member 45 while avoiding supporting ribs 47. At the time of printing when the paper is transferred and recorded, the purging discharge is carried out at a position (a) of the non-record area. A life of the waste ink-absorbing member 45 can be elongated accordingly.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To dispense with the operation of a paper feed setting lever and reduce the number of part items and the cost by extending an opening and closing tray after putting a sheet on a paper feed tray, only thereby automatically setting the sheet feeding state to a carrying roll by a raising plate interlockingly with it. CONSTITUTION: A cam 51 is fixed to the rotating end of an opening and closing tray 47, the cam 51 is engaged with the cam receiving part 22-1 of a raising plate 22 in such a manner as to be capable of sliding in the state where the opening and closing tray 47 is housed, and the engaging surface of the raising plate 22 is pressed in counterclockwise direction D around a support shaft 22-2. Thus, the raising plate 22 is rotated to a non-feed position separated from a carrying roll 25 against the E-directional energizing force of the carrying roll 25, and stopped. Sheets are placed on a paper feed tray in this state, the top end of the sheet is inserted between the carrying roll 25 and the raising plate 22 and brought into contact with a sheet receiver 23. Thus, the cam 51 is rotated in the same direction according to the extension of the opening and closing tray 47, and the end part on the top part of the sheet is pressed by the carrying roll 25 to set the feeding state of' the sheet.
