Abstract:
This application provides, among other things, novel aqueous biphasic oral care compositions comprising two distinct aqueous phases, useful for combining and delivering poorly compatible ingredients, for example to deliver effective levels of cationic antibacterial agents in combination with anionic polymers, e.g. that protect against erosion and staining, by addition of a stabilizing amount of a polyamine, e.g. lysine, and methods for making and using the same.

Abstract:
The disclosure relates to oral care compositions comprising guanidine in free or orally acceptable salt form and a stannous ion source (e.g., stannous fluoride) as well as to methods of using and of making these compositions.
Abstract:
In one aspect, the application relates to novel aqueous oral care compositions useful for combining and delivering potassium salts and a basic amino acid in a high-water composition, for example, to naturally promote nitrate reduction from the oral microbiome, which can result in systemic increases of nitric oxide in blood plasma and can form part of an overall regimen to maintain, reduce, treat or control systemic blood pressure.
Abstract:
The application relates to novel aqueous oral care compositions useful for combining and delivering incompatible stannous fluoride or stannous chloride or stannous pyrophosphate, potassium salts, and an amino acid (e.g., a basic amino acid) in a high-water composition, for example, to provide effective caries prevention, protection against dental erosion, and relief from dental hypersensitivity. Additionally, oral care compositions described here useful in order to naturally promote nitrate reduction from the oral microbiome, which can eventually result in systemic increases of nitric oxide in blood plasma, and can form part of an overall regimen to maintain or control blood pressure. Compositions comprise stannous fluoride, stannous chloride or stannous pyrophosphate, nitric acid or a water-soluble nitrate salt such as potassium nitrate, a water-soluble alkali metal polyphosphate such as tetrasodium pyrophosphate or trisodium polyphosphate, a basic amino aid such as arginine and more than 10 wt% water.

Abstract:
Antimicrobial compositions and methods for depositing or coating the antimicrobial or antibacterial compositions on a substrate to prevent microbial adhesion are provided. The antimicrobial composition may include a cationic polymer having a poly-allylamine backbone. A portion of the poly-allylamine backbone may be functionalized with at least one of a guanidine functional group and a biguanide functional group.
