Abstract:
An ostomy bag (10) with a filter assembly having a gas filter (18) and a pre-filter (14) for preventing or delaying solid/semisolid matter and liquid from reaching the gas filter (18). The pre-filter (14) is at least substantially flat and comprises a number of constrictions (28), such as ribs extending along and between two inner surface parts (24, 26) of the channel (22). These constrictions/ribs (28) form narrower and wider passages where the gas may more quickly pass a narrow passage and where the wider passages tend to receive and hold the liquid, solid matter and semisolid matter. The constrictions (28) may be provided as a single, monolithic element, such as an extruded element.

Abstract:
A collecting bag for human body wastes, particularly a stoma bag, with a bag member formed by two oblong plastic film blanks (1, 2) with joined edges, of which one blank (1) is designed with an inlet opening (3) for connection to a body orifice, particularly a stoma. Between the edge sections (6, 7) of said joined film blanks (1, 2) a narrowed outlet opening (5) is formed, which can be closed by means of a closure clip (8) with a central part (9) attached to one film blank (1) and projecting end sections (10, 11). At least the central part (9) of the closure clip (8) has along at least one of its longitudinal side edges a relatively soft, resilient edge zone (17, 18).
Abstract:

The ring-shaped member (10, 15, 18) comprises a central, relatively rigid ring (10) with a convex face (12) as well as a peripheral, relatively flexible part (15) extending considerably longer and radially than the relatively rigid ring (10).
Abstract:
The invention relates to an ostomy coupling comprising two annular coupling parts (1, 2) and a locking ring (3), where the two coupling parts (1, 2) are attached to an adhesive disc or a collection receptacle or a closing plug, respectively, the first coupling part (1) comprising a collar (5) having a radially outwardly projecting annular edge (6) for forming a groove (7) with an in radial direction innermost groove section (7a), and an annular recess (11) positioned in its in radial direction inner side, and the second coupling part (2) comprising an axially projecting part (17) having an annular radially outwardly projecting beak (18) being capable of engaging with the annular recess (11) in the first coupling part (1), and where the locking ring (3) has an annular in radial direction inwardly projecting protrusion (26), and that the locking ring is positioned in the groove of the first coupling part, so that its innermost diameter when it is in its locked position, is smaller than the largest beak diameter of the second coupling ring, and that the annular recess (11) in the in radial direction inner side of the first coupling part in axial direction is closer to the attachment surface (4a) of this coupling part to the collection receptacle, the closing plug or the adhesive disc than the annular innermost groove section (7a).
Abstract:
The invention concerns a convex ring for use in connection with an ostomy appliance consisting of at least two parts adapted to be coupled together, wherein a first coupling part (10, 110, 210, 310) is intended to be attached around the patient's stoma and comprises a ring-shaped part protruding in a distal direction, said ring (1, 101, 201, 301) being of a relatively rigid material and having a radial extent between the inner periphery (2, 102, 202, 302) of an inner wall section and the outer periphery (4, 104, 204, 304) of an outer wall section, and a proximal side (6, 106, 206, 306) and a distal side (7, 107, 207, 307), at least the proximal side of said inner wall section having a convex surface, said outer wall section (5b, 105b, 205b, 305b) having at its outer periphery an edge or a flange (4a, 104a, 204a, 304a) that can be caused to engage an edge or a flange or a plurality of knobs (18, 118, 218, 318) on a radially inner side (17, 117, 217, 317) of the ring-shaped part of the first coupling part, said ring (1, 101, 201, 301) having on the outer wall section (5b, 105b, 205b, 305b) a part (8, 108, 208, 308) protruding in a distal direction.
Abstract:
For an ostomy coupling comprising a patient part and a bag part a locking ring for mutually retaining these parts is disclosed. The locking ring has a first locking mechanism with two positions of the locking ring, in which the coupled parts are mutually loosely connected and mutually locked, respectively. The locking ring furthermore has a second locking mechanism being independent of the first locking mechanism and adapted for retaining and releasing, respectively, the locking ring relatively to one of the parts.
Abstract:
An adhesive wafer for an ostomy faceplate or wound dressing comprising a back ing layer (1), said backing layer having one surface facing the skin, said surface comprising a first and a second adhesive zone (2, 3) being separated from each others by a void volume (4), said void volume being defined by the backing layer (5), the first and the second adhesive zones and the skin surface and wherein the first and the second adhesive zones are capable of moving independently of each others with respect to the lateral plane of the backing layer.
Abstract:
A pair of scissors has two elements that are cross-wise rotationally movably assembled in a hinge, each of said elements consisting of a blade and an arm. The arms each terminate in a ring for a user's finger. The general direction of the blades and the arms in a closed position of the scissors is making an angle large enough to place both rings on the same side of an extension line of the general direction of the blades. The blades are curved and have different lengths and heights, the upper blade being the shorter and higher and optionally provided with a protruding nose part, and the lower blade is relatively narrow and provided with a bulb shaped tip and a chamfered and/or rounded inner edge said distal end of said back edge of said upper blade has a nose part protruding a distance (n1) from the distal end of the cutting edge of the upper blade and having a distance (n2) from the cutting edge of the lower blade in a closed position of the scissors.
