Abstract: The assymetric digital subscriber line dynamic inversion system has central equipment (12) connected to a service network (10) with client equipment (26) connected to a client work post (32). The equipments are connected by a public telephone connection line (22). When high speed transmission is wanted a message inversion demand is set, activating the coding and decoding of the central equipment coding at a medium speed and decoding at a high speed. A message of reception is sent to the client equipment, activating coding and decoding at high speed in the client equipment, and transmitting a reception message back to the central equipment.

Abstract: The invention relates to a Universal Serial Bus (USB) with two wireless communication hubs (USB hubs). One of these hubs is connected to a first host computer, and both USB hubs are connected to a plurality of I/O devices. Each USB hub includes a wireless adapter and an antenna connected to the wireless adapter. The wireless adapter of each USB hub comprises a transmitting/receiving unit for transmitting data via the antenna to the wireless adapter of the other USB hub or receiving data via the antenna from the wireless adapter of the other USB hub. The wireless adapter also comprises a wireless dual port, which is automatically configured upstream or downstream when the first host computer is connected to one of the USB hubs.

Abstract: The double access memory serves as a buffer between the web download and the local hard disc. The system provides transfer of files of data from a web server to a client work station via a network and vice versa. The client work station comprises a hard disc (205) for recording the file of data transferred via a SCSI bus (208). The client work station comprises a double access memory (304) for provisionally holding the file of data. A network logic unit (302) is interconnected between the network and the input port of the memory. A SCSI logic unit (303) is interconnected between the output port of the double access memory and the SCSI bus for transferring the data file from the double access memory to the hard disc, via the SCSI bus, and vice versa.

Abstract: The invention discloses a method of updating, in nodes on both ends of a secure link, the encryption key they share to encrypt and decrypt data. When having to transmit data from one of the nodes towards its peer remote node, a data base in the forwarding node, is first updated from the data to be transmitted. Then, encryption is performed and data transmitted to the peer remote node while a next-to-use encryption key is derived from the new contents of the data base. When received, data are decrypted with the current value of the encryption key and the peer remote node data base is updated identically from the received decrypted data after which a next-to-use encryption key is derived, thereby obtaining in the peer remote node, a next-to-use identical key. The data base is preferably the dictionary of a data compression/decompression system used simultaneously with encryption/decryption to transmit data over the secure link. While keys are frequently updated, for improved security, the invention does not require that key updates need to be actually distributed.
