    Abstract: In a printed-circuit board which consists of six layers, the first, third and sixth layers are used as carrier layers for lead connections between the components of a personal computer. The second and fifth layers are two earthing planes which together reduce the electromagnetic interference produced by the densely packaged components and leads. The remaining fourth layer is a voltage plane. The two earthing planes are adjacent to the two signal-line planes which are located furthest towards the outside. A third signal-line plane and a voltage plane are located between the two earthing planes.
