Abstract: Bereitgestellt werden Methoden zum Erzeugen einer dynamischen Huffman-Tabelle in Hardware. Gemäß einem Aspekt beinhaltet das Verfahren zum Codieren von Daten die Schritte: Realisieren von dynamischen Huffman-Tabellen in Hardware, die eine Mehrzahl von Huffman-Baumformen repräsentieren, welche aus einem Beispieldatensatz vorberechnet werden, wobei die Huffman-Baumformen in den dynamischen Huffman-Tabellen durch Codelängenwerte repräsentiert werden; Schreiben von Symbolen und ihren Zählwerten aus den Eingabedaten in die dynamischen Huffman-Tabellen nach dem Empfang von Eingabedaten; Berechnen einer Wertung für jede der dynamischen Huffman-Tabellen mit den Symbolen und Zählwerten aus den Eingabedaten, wobei die Wertung auf den Codelängenwerten der vorberechneten Huffman-Baumformen und den Zählwerten aus den Eingabedaten beruht; und Auswählen einer gegebenen Tabelle aus den dynamischen Huffman-Tabellen, die eine niedrigste Wertung aufweist, für ein Codieren der Eingabedaten. Darüber hinaus wird ein Prozess zum Realisieren der vorliegenden Methoden in einem SRAM bereitgestellt.

Abstract: A data processing component contains multiple processing resources. Data packets are distributed to the processors for processing their tasks. A metric for the current configuration of the processing resources is identified 306, which may take into account demand, temperature, component wear-out, or similar values. If the metric values are appropriate 312, a new configuration of the processing resources is selected 314. The processing resources are adapted to the new configuration 316 and newly-received data packets are distributed accordingly 318. The configuration may also be changed based on its ability to match the workload demand. This allows the multi-processor system to operate more efficiently.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for reporting dynamic properties of a product using radio frequency identification device technology. With this invention, an electronic tag is equipped with a sensor which determines dynamic properties of a product when the tag is activated. The dynamic properties of the product are then either further processed into other dynamic properties. In any event either the former or the latter dynamic properties are then transmitted from the tag. Such dynamic properties could be the temperature of a product or the expiration date of the product derived from periodic measurements of the temperature of the product.
