PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor for establishing both the suppression of the vibration of a displayed pointer and the responsiveness excellency or smoothness of pointer movement. SOLUTION: This information processor 100 for deciding the display coordinates of a pointer displayed on a display device 150 based on input coordinates from an input device 110 is provided with a moving distance calculating part 120 for calculating the moving distance of the pointer between a plurality of input coordinates sampled as time series, an average calculating part 130 for averaging one or more sampled input coordinates to calculate display coordinates and a range changing part 140 for changing the range in time series of the input coordinates to be used for calculating the display coordinates by the average calculating part 130 based on the moving distance. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor or the like allowing reduction of electric power consumption. SOLUTION: This information processor 10 has a normal operation mode for executing consistency control for bringing contents of a cache memory of a processor into line with contents of a main memory, and a power-saving operation mode for reducing the power consumption as compared with the normal operation mode without executing the consistency control, and changes over the power-saving operation mode to the normal operation mode when an input/output device accesses the main memory in the power-saving operation mode. The information processor 10 has: an attribute setting part setting a device area that is an area accessed by the input/output device of the information processor, of the main memory, to a non-cacheble attribute wherein the consistency control is not executed even in the normal operation mode; and an operation mode setting part making the input/output device access the device area with the operation mode of the information processor kept in the power-saving operation mode when the input/output device requests the access to the device area in the power-saving operation mode. SOLUTION: This computer system 10 is provided with a PC body 20, and a digitizer 30. A type of usage of the computer system 10 is detected, and when the type of usage is the specified type of usage, for example, a type of usage pattern mainly using the digitizer 30, a shifting power saving mode is decided according to attaching/detaching of a AC adapter, the remaining amount of a battery, the upload frequency of data from the digitizer 30 and the like. When the PC body 20 is in a power saving mode and an upload request of data from the digitizer 30 side exists, the PC body is returned to be a normal mode, and made to be the power saving mode again after the completion of uploading.

SOLUTION: When the connection between the PC and a docking station is detected and a BIOS (SMI handler) is actuated, the allocation of an I/O space to a gate array connected to an ISA bus is disabled (108), the I/O space is specified (110) for an I/O window of a PCI-PCI bridge of the docking station, and the I/O space is allocated (112) to a command block register of a PCI IDE controller. Then an ATA command is sent to the register to performs processes (114 to 1260 for initializing devices mounted on the docking station, programming data transfer speeds, and resetting a password, the allocation of the I/O space is reset, and the completion of the connection with the docking station is reported to the OS.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a risk that a password or the like may be acquired by a malicious user while making it possible to perform domain logon utilizing a cache within a registry. SOLUTION: Processed password information corresponding to user identification information is read out from a secured storage area in which GINA (Graphical Identification and Authentication) to be a part of Windows (R) is and written in the registry. After completing authentication concerned with domain logon, the password information written in the registry is erased.
