PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer apparatus, etc., capable of preventing an augmented device from a careless removal and enhancing ease of use of a PC (Personal Computer). SOLUTION: The computer apparatus is configured to make a user specify in advance an augmented device not to be removed among removable augmented devices. When the user displays a list to execute removal processing of the augmented devices, the specified augmented device is not displayed in the list. The computer apparatus is configured to execute a setting whether the specified device should be displayed in the list or not at a side of a BIOS (Basic Input Output System) and store the setting into an NVRAM (Non Volatile Random Access Memory) storing information referred by the BIOS.

SOLUTION: An information processor is equipped with a central processing unit and an external storage having a drive control unit which reads or writes a recording medium according to a request from an OS. The drive control unit is equipped with; a power supply control section which transmits a connection state response indicating the connection of the external storage to the information processor to the OS and stops the supply of power to the drive control unit when receiving the connection state request inquiring whether or not the external storage is connected to the information processor from the OS; a request proxy receiving section which receives the connection state request to the drive control unit from the OS instead of the drive control unit when the supply of power to the drive control unit is stopped; and a request proxy reply section which returns that the external storage is connected to the information processor when receiving the connection state request. The central processor has a plurality of execution modes each having the kind of a process capable of being executed and power consumption, different from each other. The program makes an information processor function as: a restoration time acquisition part acquiring a restoration time that is a time required until the central processor restores to a high power mode from a low power mode; an allowed time acquisition part acquiring a longest allowed time until the central processor restores to the high power mode and starts the process after the input/output device of the information processor requires the process processable in the high power mode and unprocessable in the low power mode to the central processor; and an execution mode setting part setting the central processor to be in a transferable state to the low power mode when deciding that the central processor is transferable to the low power mode on the basis of the allowed time and the restoration time. SOLUTION: This computer system performs power supply control in a gate array 42 based on an indication of an OS and a BIOS on an on mode with respect to a bay device 33 connected to a bay 32, and performs power supply control by an embedded controller 41 in a sleep mode and an off mode. By using an OR gate 71, setting is performed so that output signals (BAY- ON- EC and BAY- ON- GA) from the embedded controller 41 and the gate array 42 do not interfere with each other.
