Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce several sorts of typical summarized contents automatically among the provided contents and allow any user to select summarized contents to suit his interest. SOLUTION: The invention includes a contents provider 20 to offer contents 21 such as images or music, a summary server 30 concerning the offer of the summary contents such as summarized images prepared from the contents 21, and a client 10 to receive the summarized contents, wherein the contents provider 20 offers to the summary server 30 the metadata 22 including the comments data as description of the contents 21, and the summary server 30 converts the comments data into the characteristic amount, and on the basis of the degree of importance which the characteristic amount possesses, the degree of importance, for example of any division contents as each scene, is calculated, and the client 10 receives from the contents provider 20 the summarized contents prepared on the basis of the degree of importance of the division contents.
