PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add an index which matches user's interest and preference and is usable to generate a shorter digest. SOLUTION: The index generating device which generates an index as data wherein the contents of video are described is equipped with an index description device 51 which previously defines index basic information 61 as information regarding the index, an input video display device 52 which displays out the contents where the index is added, a trigger action input device 53 which receives an input to a trigger action in the displayed-outputted contents, and an index decision device 54 which generates index information 63 according to the index basic information 61 defined by the index description device 51 and the trigger action input history information 62 inputted by the trigger action input device 53.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for improving the reliability and the availability of services in general for streaming distribution. SOLUTION: A stream data distribution method uses a distribution server for receiving stream data and a plurality of delivery servers for receiving each element of the stream data distributed from the distribution server and delivering each element to one or more receivers in the case of distributing the stream data to the one or more receivers connected by a network, the method comprises: a step where the distribution server selects some of transmissible delivery servers and transmits each element of the stream data received from a streaming source; a step where the delivery servers deliver the elements of the stream data received from the distribution server to the receivers; and a step where each receiver reconfigures the original stream data on the basis of the elements of the stream data received from the plurality of delivery servers. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for guiding a user to a specific group of sites without regard to the presence/absence of the interest of the user. SOLUTION: The means is provided with a moving object managing part 10 for managing the position of a moving object on a network, a radar information generation part 20 for generating information on the position of this moving object and providing it to a user accessing to this network, and a zero distance processing part 30 for carrying out processing accompanying finding out of a previously set moving object when a prescribed user finds out this moving object. By arranging the moving object at a desired position by the part 10, the user is guided to desired contents on the network.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract teamwork by extracting a team play having a width in the time direction from a moving image, abstracting and displaying it. SOLUTION: This method is provide with a multi-resolution team play extracting part 10 to extract multi-resolution team plays based on traces of players in acquired video, a multi-resolution team play display part 20 to display a part of the multi-resolution team plays according to interaction of a contents creator, a parameter adjustment accepting part 30 to accept adjustment of resolution in the multi-resolution team play display part 20 and setting of groups to constitute a series of plays desired to be picked up as an event and collaboration of groups which is performed by the contents creator and a team play display part 40 to display the team play created by the adjustment and the setting accepted by the parameter adjustment accepting part 30 as a liaison of the collaboration between groups in which the players are abstracted.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time required for setting processing which is generated in a provisioning process for allocating surplus resources to services in accordance with the load variation of services. SOLUTION: In the provisioning method, a plurality of intermediate stages are virtually set in a process for provisioning surplus resources common to some services from a resource pool for managing the surplus resources to respective services. A plurality of resources are previously and efficiently allocated to intermediate stages on the way of provisioning without starting the setting processing necessary for provisioning from the beginning after generating a resource request from the outside to the services, and when a resource provisioning request is generated (S500), provisioning is performed from the most suitable stage (S600). SOLUTION: The network system of this invention includes: a contents provider 20 for providing contents; and a client 10 for acquiring the contents, and the contents provider 20 attaches information with respect to the priority for communication on the basis of the importance reflected with the contents of the contents data to the data and transmits the resulting contents to the client 10 in compliance with the protocol for controlling the communication quality on the basis of the priority. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for extracting partial image area of video image, a program for extracting partial image area, a distributing method for extracted video image and a contents preparing method. SOLUTION: The motion compensation data of video images are calculated from continuous video images photographed by a video camera 14 and the camera work of the video camera is estimated from the continuous video images. The central position (xc, yc) of an area 20, which is concerned in the case of photographing, among the photographed video images is estimated from this estimated camera work by using prescribed conditions (rules), image features around the central position of the concerned area 20 are specified, and a partial image including such image features is specified.
