Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dynamic machine synthesis method for implementing effective wireless device access and management through integrated device capabilities. SOLUTION: With the method, simple devices can be integrated into a dynamic machine (DM) so as to provide an end user with integrated access and management methods, thereby providing true flexibility and convenience. Thus, complex applications or service requirements can be satisfied with a group of simple devices. Devices themselves are no longer treated as individual devices but as the constituent components of a DM. The method also provides a new approach for solving complex problems by using dynamic machine instead of designing and manufacturing new real machines, people could just build DMs in time of need and disassemble them whenever they are no longer needed with little cost. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-oriented method and a system for database querying. SOLUTION: The user-oriented database querying system includes a user managing means, a device managing means, a control means which identifies a user, receives a database query request and additional parameters, and converts the database query request into a database query command, a query agent means which presents the database query command at proper time to receive a query result, and a query recording means which stores the database query request, additional parameters, query command, query time, and query result; and the control means further determines a receiver, converts the query result to the format in which the receiver can accept the result, sends the query result thereto, and ends the querying after receiving an affirmative answer of transmission success.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smart card interface device. SOLUTION: The smart card interface device is the one to be installed inside the extension slot of a hand-held device. A system is constituted of the smart card interface device which comprises a host interface unit to be connected to an input/output port in order to exchange a serial communication data signal and a clock signal with the input/output port comprised in the extension slot of the hand-held device, a first smart card connector for electric connection to a first type smart card, a first smart card interface unit for driving the connected first smart card and a protocol implementation unit for controlling respective constitution elements.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stock trade system based upon a hand-held device by allowing a message adapter(MA) to send to a stock transaction subsystem(STSS) a request in a characteristic message format that the STSS requires. SOLUTION: A service platform subsystem(SPSS) 3 communicates with various hand-held devices according to characteristic communication methods and message formats that those devices employ and receive stock trade requests that users of the devices issue. Here, MAs 4 and 4' are in charge of message format conversion between the SPSS 3 and STSSs 5 and 5'. When the SPSS 3 receives a stock trade request, the request is sent in standardized platform message format to the MA 4 (e.g. MA#1) connected to the STSS 5 (e.g. STSS #1) that a user specifies. The MA 4 once receiving the requests sends it in the message format needed for the STSS 1. Finally, a stock trade center 1 (2) a achieves the request.
Abstract:
The application discloses a method, system, gateway and user device for receiving/sending multimedia message. According to the invention, the multimedia messaging service system comprising a wireless LAN, a multimedia messaging service user device and a multimedia messaging service gateway, the user device communicates with the gateway via the wireless LAN so as to send and receive multimedia messages. Furthermore, the gateway of the invention detect whether the user device is located within the wireless LAN. If yes, then multimedia messages are sent and received via the wireless LAN; and if not, then via conventional telecom network. The invention also discloses a corresponding gateway and a corresponding user device.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mobile phone and a method for its operation and control. The mobile phone is capable of receiving the message sent by other mobile phones through a message transmission system. The method comprises: receiving the message from another mobile phone, wherein the received message comprises a presentation part and an associated control part, the control part being used for the control and management of the processing of the received message; extracting the control part from the received message; and executing the operation related to the message based on the extracted control part. According to an embodiment, if the control part received by the mobile phone comprises the notification mode control command, the mobile phone issues a message notification according to the notification mode control command, disregarding the message notification mode pre-configured on the mobile phone. Thus the requirement of the sender personalized message service can be satisfied.

Provides a service providing device and method enabling a user to accept the service by utilizing the capabilities of several various devices. At least one physical device is selected for the user based on the service requirement. The user accepts the service via the selected physical device or devices. The invention “hides” the physical devices by using a virtual device to provide the service for users. Furthermore, the invention provides a “tailored” virtual device based on the environment around the user, the favorite of user and the requirements of the service, and may provide to the user the “tailored” information suitable for the user. The operating environment of the virtual device according to the invention is dynamically changeable according to the environment around the user, the favorite of user and the requirements of the service. Thus, a seamless service may be provided to the user.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mobile phone and a method for its operation and control. A smart card interface device which can be installed in an expansion slot of a handheld device comprises: a host interface unit for connecting with I/O ports included in the expansion slot of the handheld device so as to receive/send serial communication data signals and clock signals from/to said I/O ports; a first smart card connector provided at a surface of said smart card interface device, for electrically connecting with a smart card of the first type; a first smart card interface unit for detecting whether a smart card of the first type has been connected to said first smart card connector and for driving the smart card of the first type being connected; a protocol implementation unit for controlling each component of said smart card interface device so as to implement communication protocols between said smart card interface device and said handheld device as well as between said smart card interface device and said smart card of the first type.
