Abstract:
A Bluetooth adapter used for infrared interfaces, characterized in comprising: a Bluetooth interface for exchanging data streams with the Bluetooth device via Radio Frequency links; a protocol converting unit for modulating the data streams coming from the Bluetooth device into electronic signals complying with the infrared standards and demodulating the electronic signals sent to the Bluetooth device into data streams; a means for exchanging electronic signals with the infrared device; and a microprocessor for controlling various components of said Bluetooth adapter to enable then to perform their own functions.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smart card interface device. SOLUTION: The smart card interface device is the one to be installed inside the extension slot of a hand-held device. A system is constituted of the smart card interface device which comprises a host interface unit to be connected to an input/output port in order to exchange a serial communication data signal and a clock signal with the input/output port comprised in the extension slot of the hand-held device, a first smart card connector for electric connection to a first type smart card, a first smart card interface unit for driving the connected first smart card and a protocol implementation unit for controlling respective constitution elements.
Abstract:
A first card (7) interface (10) detects if it is connected to a connector and to control application of protocols to control all elements of the device of card interface. A communication protocols may be applied in communication between the card interface and the portable device, as well as between of card interface device and the card of the first type. Independent claims are included for: (a) a portable device (b) a method for sending data from a portable device using an extension slot in the portable device (c) a method for recovering data being sent from a portable device using an extension slot in portable device (d) a method for controlling a power supply to an IC card interface device
