Abstract: The arrangement has a layer sequence including reference layers, separation layer and measurement layers (121-125) arranged one above the other. The measurement layers have magnetostriction constant different from zero, and a uni-axial magnetic anisotropy with anisotropy axis. Magnetization directions and anisotropy axis of the measurement layers have an angle more than zero and less than 90 degree with the force axis in rest condition. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining the force acting on a carrier of a force sensor.

Abstract: The sensor has a separation layer (21) between two neighboring arranged magnetic layers (11, 12). Each magnetic layer has a direction of magnetization (M1, M2, M3), where the directions of magnetization of two neighboring magnetic layers are aligned parallel due to ferromagnetic coupling (FM) or are aligned antiparallel due to antiferromagnetic coupling (AFM) in an ideal state of the magnetic layers. An independent claim is also included for a method of determining force acting on a force sensor.
