Abstract: The wrapping film of the present invention has a sticky surface, convexities, and flat portions of film disposed between the convexities on at least one side, and comprises at least one agent selected from the group consisting of a surface active agent, an adhesive agent, and an oily agent. The wrapping film has a shear adhesion strength of at most 400 cN/25 cm2 when measured subsequent to bringing said sticky surface into contact with a glass surface having a surface roughness of from 0.7 to 1.5 nm under a pressure of 4 Pa, a shear adhesion strength of at least 700 cN/25 cm2 when measured subsequent to bringing said sticky surface into contact with said glass surface under a pressure of 4 kPa, and the ratio of the height of the convexities to the thickness of the flat portion ranges from 0.03 to 1.67. The wrapping film may also have a surface with a roughness and waviness (Ra') of at least 40 nm as measured in a non-extended state, and an elongation at break of at least 10%.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a good drawing property and saw cutting property by forming a wrapping film into a multilayer structure having three layers of an outer layer, an intermediate layer made up of polypropylene resin and inner layer by a multilayer extruding method and, in this instance, curing a molten film with a specific temperature. SOLUTION: A household or business wrapping film is the one formed into a multilayer structure of three layers including at least an outer layer, an intermediate layer formed of polypropylene resin and inner layer, and it is manufactured through a multilayer coextruding method by the use of T-dies; however, in this case, a molten film is treated to be cured at a temperature of 50-120 deg.C. Polyolefin resin used herein is preferable to be low density polyethylene resin, which is formed of a 10-40 pts.wt. copolymer of 90-60 pts.wt. low density polyethylene resin of a density of 0.910-0.940 g/cm3 and ethylene.α-olefin of a density of 0.920 g/cm3. This results in a superior adhesiveness, a saw cutting property, high heat resistance, and transparency.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve curing efficiency and baking yield and, in its turn to better productivity by dissolving a thermoplastic phenol resin in a thermosetting resin in a method for producing a glassy carbon material by curing the thermosetting resin and baking. SOLUTION: Before a thermosetting resin such as at least one thermosetting resin selected from furan resin, phenol resin and modified furan resin is cured, for example, a thermoplastic phenol resin is dissolved in the thermosetting resin. The viscosity (measured by a Brookfield viscometer) of the thermosetting resin is preferably 100-10,000cp. Preferably, the thermosetting resin has water absorption properties of >=20wt.%. The thermoplastic phenol resin has preferably 3,000-50,000 weight-average molecular weight. The amount of the thermoplastic phenol resin added is 0.1-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the thermosetting resin.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the disk substrate of a type dealing with high-density recording by subjecting the substrate for the magnetic recording medium consisting of a conductive substrate to electrolytic etching in an electrolyte soln., thereby forming the substrate. CONSTITUTION:The substrate for the magnetic recording medium consisting of the conductive substrate is formed by electrolytic etching in the electrolyte soln. Any substrate having OMEGAcm specific resistance is satisfactory. The substrate formed by coating the surface of glassy carbon subjected to surface polishing with a nonmagnetic metallic layer of Ni-P plating, etc., is used. This conductive substrate is subjected to electrolytic etching by electrolysis with the substrate as anode. The texture having excellent productivity and surface characteristics is thereby obtd. The disk substrate of the type dealing with high-density recording and eventually the high-density recording type magnetic disk are obtd.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a substrate for magnetic disks which has a high strength against bending by carbonizing a composite material of a thermosetting resin and layered compound with a hot press. CONSTITUTION:This substrate 1 for magnetic disks is composed of a composite material of vitreous carbon and layered compound which has a high strength in the direction B obtained by carbonizing a composite material of a thermosetting resin and the layered compound with a hot press which pressurizes the material in the facial direction of the substrate 1 and, at the same time, by making the substrate 1 anisotropic by applying a pressure A from the top and bottom of the substrate 1. Therefore, this substrate has a light weight, excellent corrosion resistance, and heat resistance which can withstand a high temperature at the time of film formation, etc., and, at the same time, has excellent surface smoothness which can withstand specular finishing. Moreover, the substrate has a high strength against bending and is free from deformation even when the thickness of the substrate is reduced.
