    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the barrier performance against gas such as oxygen, carbon dioxide, or the like, and water vapor by forming a multilayer vessel comprising at least two layers of thermoplastic polyester having a specified composition and polyolefin. CONSTITUTION:A perform is molded by injection molding, which comprises at least two layers of a thermoplastic layer containing an ethylene naphthalate unit of 80mol% as a repeated unit and a polyolefinic layer. It is then subjected to draw/blow molding in at least single axis direction at a temperature of 110-170 deg.C, to thereby form a multilayer vessel. The used polyolefin preferably contains a propylene unit of 70mol% as a repeated unit, and also may be a copolymer of olefin such as 1-octane of 30mol%. In order to enhance the transparency, and the barrier performance against gas such as oxygen, carbon dioxide or the like in the vessel, it is preferable to effect the draw-molding in at least a single axis direction.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject martial capable of readily peeling and recovering cultured and proliferated cells with a temperature change by coating the surface of a support material with a (co)polymer having the upper limit critical dissolution temperature and lower limit dissolution temperature for water within prescribed ranges. CONSTITUTION:The objective support material for culturing cells obtained by coating the surface thereof with a (co)polymer (e.g. polyN- isopropylacrylamide) having 80-0 deg.C upper limit critical dissolution temperature or lower limit dissolution temperature for water. The objective material treated with the above-mentioned polymer is capable of readily controlling balance in hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity of the support surface simply by changing environmental temperature and recovering proliferated cells merely by changing temperature in a cell peeling and recovering step during and after completing culturing of the cells, peeling the cultured cells and subsequently washing the peeled cultured cells with an isotonic solution, etc.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title molding excellent in liquid repellency, stain resistance, releasability, etc., by adding a specified amount of a polymer having a specified perfluoroalkyl to a thermoplastic resin, molding the mixture, and heat-treating the molding. CONSTITUTION:A (meth)acrylic ester having a 5-16C perfluoroalkyl (e.g. formula I or II) is homopolymerized or copolymerized with a copolymerizable monomer (e.g. stearyl methacrylate) in the presence of a mercaptan compound of formula III (wherein (n) is 8-18). 0.1-5 pts.wt. obtained perfluoroalkylated polymer is added to 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin (e.g. polyethylene), and the mixture is well mixed. The obtained thermoplastic resin composition is molded and heat-treated at 70-130 deg.C to obtain a thermoplastic resin molding of excellent liquid repellency.

SOLUTION: A poly(meth)acrylate containing a residual monomer is brought into contact with a solvent capable of swelling a poly(meth)acrylate by 1.5 to 5 times by weight and the poly(meth)acrylic acid salt is swollen in the solvent and the residual monomer is transferred to a solvent to a phase and the poly(meth)acrylic acid salt and the solvent phase are separated to recover the poly(meth)acrylate from which the residual monomer is reduced.
