    Abstract: A communication system includes a decentralized, flat architecture where a plurality of base nodes each include controller capabilities so that a centralized base node such as a radio network controller is not required. At least one of the base nodes acts as an anchor node. The anchor node associates a time stamp with at least one packet and provides that to the plurality of base nodes. In one example, a multicast approach is used by a router device for distributing the packet and the associated time stamp to the plurality of base nodes. Each base node controls a timing of a transmission of the at least one packet over a wireless interface responsive to the associated time stamp.

When a mobile requests(30) one of those services, the relevant dynamic parameters are sent (32) over the radio interface and the mobile is asked whether it has in its store the relevant parameters for the requested service; if so (34), the call is set up; if not (36), the semi-static parameters relevant to the requested service are sent (38) to the user equipment. Considerable saving of radio resource results.

    Abstract: Un sistema de comunicación incluye una arquitectura plana, descentralizada en donde una pluralidad de nodos base cada uno incluye capacidades de controlador para que no se requiera un nodo base centralizado tal como un controlador de red de radio. Al menos uno de los nodos base actúa como un nodo de anclaje. El nodo de anclaje asocia un sello de tiempo con al menos un paquete y proporciona éste a la pluralidad de nodos base. En un ejemplo, se utiliza un acercamiento de difusión múltiple por un dispositivo de enrutador para distribuir el paquete y el sello de tiempo asociada con la pluralidad de nodos base. Cada nodo base controla un cronometraje de una transmisión de al menos un paquete en una interfaz inalámbrica en respuesta a el sello de tiempo asociada.
