Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress the lowering of blowing ability and the increase of turbulent flow and noise efficiently by disposing recessed parts on the negative pressure face side surface of a blade in such a way as to be parallel with a rotary shaft, thereby drawing air flow, going to separate from the negative pressure face side surface, continuously back to the surface of the blade. CONSTITUTION:An impeller 6 is formed of a main plate 3 with plural blades 7 fixed thereto, and a side plate 4 fixed to the anti-main plate side end face of the blade 7. In this case, recessed parts 8 are disposed on the negative pressure face 7a side surface of the blade 7 in such a way as to be parallel with a rotary shaft, and air flow going to separate from the negative pressure face 7a side surface of the blade 7 in association with the rotation of the impeller 6 is drawn back to the surface of the blade 7 continuously by the action of the recessed parts 8. The lowering of blowing ability and the increase of turbulent flow and noise can be thereby suppressed efficiently without complicating the shape of the blade 7.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress resonance inside an air duct so as to reduce the level of the noise transmitted to the room under air conditioning by laying inside a ceiling chamber an air duct whose main body is formed of a material capable of transmitting sound but having no permeability to air and in a manner of connecting one end of the air duct with an air conditioner or the like and the other end with the outlet to the room. CONSTITUTION:An air duct 9 consists of a sheath 10 lined by a thermally insulating layer 11 and is formed in a ring in shape. This air duct 9 is connected at one end 12 to an air conditioner 6 and at the other end 13 to an outlet 8 to a room. The main body of the air duct 9 is formed, either in part or entirely, of a material 14 capable of transmitting sound but having no permeability to air, which comprises a board 15 having a multiplicity of perforations and a sheet 16 in the form of film, and this air duct 9 is laid inside a ceiling chamber 2. As a result, the sound-transmitting material 14 prevents the noise produced by the air conditioner 6 from reflecting and suppresses its resonance. Thus increase of noise energy in the air duct 9 can be suppressed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten a distance between a fan and a heat exchanger and prevent the increase of ventilating noise by positioning a supporting member, supporting a motor for the fan, at the inside of the outer diameter of an impeller for the fan. CONSTITUTION:A supporting member 10, supporting a motor 6 for a fan 3, is fitted into the tubes of a heat exchanger 9 and is inserted inbetween fins to fix it. Further, the supporting member 10 is positioned at the inside of the outer diameter of the rotating impeller of the fan. Accordingly, there is no supporting member and the like interposed between the tip end of the rotating impeller of the fan and the heat exchanger and, therefore, the disturbance of flow or interference of the same will never be generated between the motor supporting member and the tip end of the fan even when the distance between the fan and the heat exchanger is reduced whereby the ventilating noise of an air-conditioner will never be increased.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To decrease blasting noise and improve lasting performance by providing a plate located perpendicular and concentrically circular to the rotating axis of an impeller to the outer surface of a blade surrounded with no orifice and by fixing one end of the plate to inside the outer surface of the blade to prevent air current collision and to accelerate reflux. CONSTITUTION:When an air blower is operated in high ventilation resistance condition, part of an air current Y1 flowing to a pressurization surface side 13c from the outer surface side 13b of a blade 13 gradually decreases its axial speed component and increases its radial speed component. Part of the air current Y1 is, therefore, discharged to the outer surface part 13b of the blade 13 at the vicinity of the suction side 6a of an orifice 6. Part of the air current Y1 is attracted to the suction side 13a of the blade 13 to form an air current V1 due to a pressure difference between the outer surface part 13b of the blade 13 and a suction part 13a. In this case, the air current V1 is isolated from an air current Y2 flowing to the layer to layer of the impeller 14 from the outer surface of the blade 13 due to the action of a plate 15. This causes air currents V1, Y2 to collide, to inhibit the development of turbulence.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To restrict the increase of the air blowing noise and the deviation of the air blowing performance of an air blower by composing an air blower of a first ring, which surrounds the periphery of vanes and of which cylindrical end is fixed to the tip of the suction side of an orifice, and a cylindrical second ring, which surrounds the periphery of the suction side of the vanes inside of the first ring. CONSTITUTION:In the case that an air blower 12 is operated under the condition that the draft resistance is higher than a design operating point, the air flow W1 blowing from a suction side 5a of a vane 5 to the periphery of the vane 5 is separated from the air flow X1 flowed from the periphery at the peripheral part 5b of the vane 5 to restrict the collision by surrounding the periphery of the vane 5 with a first ring 13 and a second ring 14. A part of the air flow W1 passes between the inner wall 13a of the ring 13 and the outer wall 14b of the ring 14 and between the inner wall 14a of the ring 14 and the peripheral part 5b to return to the suction side 5a, and is sucked into an impeller 3 again. Next, since the air flow X1 is pulled to the suction side 5a by the viscosity of the air flow sucked from the suction side 5a and combined with the suction side air flow and sucked to the impeller 3, increase of the air blowing noise is restricted, end while the deviation of the air blowing performance is restricted.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent air turbulence and noise by making the inlet side of an orifice provided around an impeller in the shape of a bellmouth and by connecting the bellmouth to a panel on the blowoff side with a smooth wall at a diagonal part of the blowoff side panel forming a square. CONSTITUTION:A blower chamber 2 of an axial blower used in an outdoor machine 1 of a separate type air conditioner is formed by a blowoff side panel 4 in the shape of an approximate square and a side wall 5a, and an orifice 8 forming a bellmouth 8a is provided around an impeller 7. A wall 9 made up by a curved wall surface 9b and an inclined wall surface 9a, smoothly connecting an tip end part 8b of an the orifice 8 to an inner wall surface 4a of the panel 4 is provided at a diagonal part of the side wall 5a. At the diagonal part, the distance between the side wall 5a and the orifice 8 is large and the air flow in the centripetal direction is easy to be disturbed, but the wall 9 suppresses the turbulence and prevents generation of noise.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform a smooth air flow from outside a vane wheel by a method wherein an orifice is formed by a bell-mouse shaped suction port, a substantial conical-shaped blowing port and a removable ring having an outer wall coinciding with a substantial conical wall surface of the blowing port. CONSTITUTION:In the even that an outdoor device 1 of a separated type air conditioner is installed at a location where a sufficient spacing is not present between a surface of an axial air blower 10 and a wall surface of a building or the like, a ring 14 is removed, thereby an air flow blown slantly from an outer peripheral side of a vane wheel 7 of the axial air blower 10 flows smoothly along an inner wall surface 13a of an air blowing port 13 expanded in a substantial conical shape in an orifice 11 and then the air is blown out of a casing 12. Due to this fact, the axial air blower 10 may output a predetermined air blowing performance which is an object of the air blower.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To have a large wind quantity and low noise generation from a blower device having an axial flow impeller, which is surrounded by an orifice, by forming the orifice profile from a suction side arched part, a straight part, and a discharge side arched part, and by setting the axial position of the tail of the impeller in the extent of suction side arched part. CONSTITUTION:In a blower device according to the present invention equipped with an approx cylindrical orifice 5 around an impeller 4, the shaft of a motor 6 is fixed to the hub of the impeller 4, and the blowing effect is obtained with rotation of the impeller 4 operated by this motor 6. The profile of this orifice 5 is formed from a suction side arched part 5a, a straight part 5b, and a discharge side arched part 5c, wherein the radius of the discharge side arched part 5c shall be greater than that of the suction side one 5a. The suction side arched part 5a is approx. equally high in the axial direction to the discharge side one 5c, and both be higher than the straight part 5b. The axial position of the tail of the impeller 4 periphery shall lie in the extent of the suction side arched part 5d.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress growth of a boundary layer on a vane surface and reduce noise due to outflow of convolution by allowing the max. warp position to be located nearer the front edge with a greater radial position, i.e. with nearer position to the tip, in the profile of each of aplurality of vanes fitted at the side face of a hub in approx. cylindrical form. CONSTITUTION:In an impeller fitted with a plurality of vanes 4 at the side face of a hub 3 in approx. cylindrical form, the max. warp position CX in the profile XX(A) of each vane 4 cut in a radial position near the hub 3 shall be located nearer the tail, while the max. warp position CY of the profile YY(B) cut in a radial position near the tip be situated around the center, and the whole construction shall be such as to be nearer the front edge as approaching the tip from the hub 3. Thereby the stream on the neg. pressure surface of the vane 4 shall be decompressing (accelerative) from the front edge till around the max. warp position, followed by pressure boosting (decelerative) thereafter, and the pressure distribution in the radial direction shall be such as to be high pressure distributed on the side nearer the tip than nearer the hub, which should preclude shift of the boundary layer toward the tip due to the centrifugal force.
