Abstract: A heat exchanger is provided in an air conditioner, refrigerator or the like, and is provided for the indirect transmission and reception of heat between fluids. The heat exchanger comprises a plurality of flat plate fins which are arranged parallel to one another at predetermined intervals so as to allow air stream to flow therebetween, and a plurality of heat transfer tubes passing through the flat plate fins for allowing a fluid to flow therethrough. Each fin is provided with a number of groups of air vents arranged to cross the wake side of the air stream. Each of the air vents is defined by a slat having four sides in which two sides, facing the air stream, are opened and other two sides are provided with leg portions for connecting the slat with the fin. The leg portions are aligned with each other and are inclined with respect to the normal line of the leading edge of the fin. With the above structure, a swirling and a turbulent component of air are induced in the air stream flowing between the fins thereby improving the heat transfer efficiency of the fins.

Abstract: An insulated structure is produced by mixing a starting material of a foamed thermal insulating material comprising a polyol, a foam stabilizer, a blowing agent containing at least a hydrocarbon as one component, and an organic polyisocyanate with a halogen-free hydroxylated organophosphorus compound having a molecular weight of at least 150 as an additive, foaming the resultant mixture into a foamed thermal insulating material (4), and cast molding the material (4) in the space between a plastic facing (2) and an iron plate (3) provided with a copper pipe (5). The use of the above-specified organophosphorus compound serves to achieve a burning velocity equivalent to that attained by the use of the conventional blowing agent CFC11, to exclude the possibility of the corrosion of the pipe (5) in the structure caused by the dissociation of the phosphorus compound, to prevent the phosphorus from migrating into the facing (2), and to get rid of the fear of food staining.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice making pan, wherein even when small and light weight ice with a small volume, hard ice can be made, and the ice is easily separated, and an automated ice making apparatus or a freezing refrigerator with the pan. SOLUTION: Water is frozen in one direction from an upper section opening 10a of a recessed portion toward a lower portion 10c of the recessed portion, and when ice is expanded in the neighborhood of the recessed portion lower section 10c, extruding force against an inner wall of the lower section 10c of the recessed section 10 is applied in the direction where the ice is pushed out upward of an ice making pan 9. The upward force is not suppressed because the upper surface opening 10a of the recessed section 10 is spread, and hence the ice is separated from an inner wall of the recessed section 10 just-after ice is made without suppressing the force extruded upward.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulation material and an heat insulated box having an excellent heat insulation performance by removing such problems as drop in a foam expansion efficiency or enhanced foam communication in an expansion process and filling up the inside of foams with a volatile foaming agent having a low gas conductivity. SOLUTION: A carbon dioxide gas absorption agent 7 which has formed a plurality of film layers whose critical surface energy is different from each other during drying and hardening time on an alkali metal hydroxide or an alkali earth metal hydroxide where at least one layer 3 is hydrophobic preferably as an outermost film layer 2 excluding hydrophilic and outermost layer, is included in an expandable insulating material 4, thereby filling up the foams with a volatile foaming agent having a low gas conductivity and providing and a heat insulating material and an heat insulated box having excellent heat insulation performance.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed heat insulator having excellent heat insulating property without affecting bad effects caused from a moisture gas generated by an adsorption reaction of a carbonic acid gas to the insulating property by adjusting a suspension in a specific constitution, foaming the suspension by mixing with a foaming agent, etc., and removing the carbonic acid gas and removing the moisture. SOLUTION: A suspension is adjusted by dispersing an alkaline (earth) metal hydroxide and a water absorptive material of an organic or an inorganic compound into a surfactant having a hydrophilic group and a lipophilic group. The suspension is foamed by mixing with polyol, a foam adjusting agent, a catalyst, a reactive foaming agent, a volatile foaming agent and polyisocyanate, and a foamed polyurethane resin composition containing a carbonic acid gas generated by a reaction of water with polyisocyanate and a volatile foaming agent inside individually isolated air foam is formed. A carbonate is formed by adsorption of the carbonic acid gas to the hydroxide and the carbonic acid gas is removed by filling inside the isolated air foam with the volatile foaming agent. A moisture removing is performed by absorbing the moisture generated at adsorbing the carbonic acid gas into the water absorptive material.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fixing agent comprising an epoxide compound and a specific addition reaction catalyst of carbon dioxide, capable of readily reacting with carbon dioxide at a normal temperature under a normal pressure, generating a cyclic carbonate composition at a high yield and more efficiently fixing carbon dioxide. SOLUTION: This carbon dioxide fixing agent is composed of at least an onium compound (e.g. tetra-n-butylammonium bromide) and a urethane polymerization catalyst (e.g. dibutyltin dilaurate) (preferably, composed of an onium compound and an organic tin compound) as an addition reaction catalyst of at least one component of epoxide compound with carbon dioxide and a cyclic carbonate composition is produced by a reaction of addition reaction [e.g. a reaction of the formula (R -R are each H or a substituting group)] of carbon dioxide.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate a dangerous state of getting fire and provide a safe thermal insulating box by a method wherein this box is comprised of an outer box, a special hard urethane foam, an inner box formed with resin provided with a metallic thin film in contact with the hard urethane foam. CONSTITUTION:Since an inner box 2 is so constructed that a surface in contact with hard urethane foam 4 having hydrocarbon such as pentan, cyclopentan or the like as a foam agent, the hard urethane foam 4 has a problem in particular in case of combustion of a themal insulating box 1 is covered with an outer box 3 made of metallic plate acting an noncombustible material and the metallic thin film 5 of non-ignitabel material. Accordingly, in case of of fire, when the inner box 2 is ignited, it is covered by the non-ignitable material or hard-to- ignite material, so that fire is not rapidly expanded at the hard urethane foam 4. With such an arrangement as above, a dangerous getting of fire during fire is reduced and a safe thermal insulating box 1 can be attained.
