Abstract: PURPOSE: To simplify an internal structure of a thermostat and improve temperature control accuracy by providing a shutter on a part of a thermostat container box, and making variable exhausted cold air to a temperature sensitive section of the thermostat with the shutter. CONSTITUTION: A thermostat 10 contained in a container box 12 includes a heat sensitive section 13 for detecting temperature of cold air, which section detects exhausted cold air from an air fan 6 through a slit hole 14 provided in a side wall of a thermostat container box 12 and keeps properly predetermined temperature in a freezing chamber. Herein, a shutter 16 is provided in the side wall of the container box 12. More specifically, an opening of the slit hole 14 is made variable with the shutter 16 to adjust the inflow amount of the cold air whereby opening upon cutting-out or compressor operation time is changed to adjust the temperature in the freezing chamber 4. Hereby, the need of an additional temperature characteristic adjusting mechanism of an internal mechanism of the thermostat is eliminated, and temperature accuracy is improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To dispense with a current plate by a method wherein an inclined part is so arranged that an inner part of an ice storage box is made higher at the rear part thereof to get cooled air discharged from an ice making discharge duct straightened to an ice tray. CONSTITUTION: An inclined part 12a is molded at an inner part of the bottom part of an ice storage case 12 for storing ice. Air cooled by a cooler 3 is discharged by a fan 6 through an ice making discharge duct 13. As the cooled air discharged is efficiently guided to the top and lower surfaces of an ice tray 10, the cooled air is straightened by the inclined part 12a at the inner part of the bottom part of the ice storage case 12. Thus, more ice making capacity than equivalent can be secured without using any current plate simply, by providing the inclined part 12a at the inner part of the bottom surface of the existing ice storage case 12.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To introduce a freeze effect sufficiently and inexpensively into a rapid cooling room when a frozen food is contained by providing an inclining part ascending rearward in the depth on the bottom face of an ice storage box. CONSTITUTION: Chill from a chiller 3 is delivered through an ice making delivery duct 13 by means of a fan 6. The delivered chill is straightened through an inclining part 12a in the rear on the bottom face of an ice storage box 12 before being introduced efficiently to the upper and lower surfaces of an ice making pan 10. Consequently, a function similar to that of a conventional straightener can be attained without requiring any additional part by simply providing an inclining part 12a in the depth on the bottom face of an existing ice storage box 12 and an equivalent or higher ice making capacity can be sustained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an availability and a storing ability of a vegetable chamber which has now become frequently used due to an increase of vegetable consumption spurred by a recent health trend. SOLUTION: In a refrigerator, a refrigerating chamber 25 is disposed at an upper portion thereof, a freezer chamber 27 is disposed at a lower portion thereof and a vegetable chamber 31 is disposed at a central portion thereof. A cooling air passage for the vegetable chamber 31 is defined by connecting a vent duct 46 which is disposed on an upper surface of a lid body 39 covering a vegetable container 33 and communicated with a suction duct 44 of the refrigerating chamber 25, a circulation duct 48 formed around the vegetable container 33, a first return duct 51 which communicates with a cooler 35 from the back of the vegetable chamber and a communication duct which makes the vent duct 46 and the first return duct 51 communicate with each other. Owing to such a construction, the vegetable which are frequently used can be preserved and administrated at the central portion which is frequently used and a storing ability is also enhanced. Furthermore, the cooling ability of the vegetable chamber 31 is rationally assured while improving the temperature distribution in the vegetable container 33.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To effectively judge even if a condition of heavy cooling load exists at a defrosting interval to control defrosting with high reliability and to suppress temperature rise in a refrigerator by providing a controller for varying the interval by judging the magnitude of the load. CONSTITUTION:A first timer 40 for integrating operating time of a compressor 26 is provided. Since frosting deposition of a cooler is increased with increased cooling load to increase chilled gas flowing resistance, chilled gas circulating amount in a refrigerator is reduced. As a result, a phenomenon in which the damper of a motor-driven damper in a cold storage chamber is 'opened' is utilized, it is defrosted by a second timer 42 for counting the number of times of continuous 'opening' states of the damper when a heavy condition of a cooling load (e.g., a door is forgotten to be closed, a door is frequently opened and closed) normally exists at an interval of defrosting by the timer 40 by a defrost controller 44 having the timer 42. Thus, defrost control with high reliability can be obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To deliver freezing effect sufficiently by a method wherein a highly heat conducting aluminum plate is installed as a partition plate to vertically dividing a quick cooling chamber from an ice tray and an ice storage case, and a discharge port is provided each for the upper and lower zones. CONSTITUTION: An aluminum plate 15 is arranged to vertically divide a quick cooling chamber 7 from an ice tray 10 and an ice storage case 16. Air cooled by a cooler 3 is discharged through a discharge duct 8 by a fan 6 and also discharged along the surface of the aluminum plate 15 from a first discharge duct 14 so that the temperature in the quick cooling chamber 7 is kept in a lower temperature range than other parts and moreover, the cooled air is discharged positively to the aluminum plate 15 through a first discharge duct 14 to cool the highly heat conducting aluminum plate 15 as well. In addition, the cooled air is discharged along the rear of the aluminum plate 15 through a second discharge port 16. Thus, a cooling is accomplished the aluminum positively both from the surface and the rear of the aluminum plate 15. So, when foods are placed on the aluminum plate 15, a freezing effect can be yielded sufficiently.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To ensure a sufficient freeze effect by partitioning an ice making pan and an ice making box vertically by means of an aluminum plate having high thermal conductivity and providing the upper and lower sections, respectively, with an outlet. CONSTITUTION: Chill from a chiller 3 is delivered from a delivery duct 8 by means of a fan 6. Since it is also delivered from a first delivery duct 14 disposed below the delivery duct 8 along the surface of an aluminum plate 15, a rapid cooling room 7 is kept in a lower temperature zone than other part and since it is also delivered positively to the aluminum plate 15 through the first delivery duct 14, surface of the aluminum plate 15 having high thermal conductivity is also cooled. Furthermore, the chill is delivered along the rear surface of the aluminum plate 15 through a second outlet 16 and a frozen food is cooled positively from the surface and rear of the aluminum plate 15 thus ensuring a sufficient freeze effect when a frozen food is mounted on the aluminum plate 15.
