    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the quantity of flash light of each time constant by providing a control part which finds a flash light emission time from a correlation table stored in a memory and controls the pulse width of the gate pulse signal outputted by a pulse control circuit. CONSTITUTION:The light emission control signal outputted by a CPU 13 is D/A-converted 15 and inputted to a pulse control circuit 14. This circuit 14 receives the light emission control signal from the CPU 13 and outputs a specific pulse voltage or gate pulse signal with specific pulse width. This gate pulse signal is applied to the gate of an insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) 12, which is turned on. A trigger circuit TR is put in operation with the signal from the CPU 13 in synchronism with that to make a flash discharge tube Xe begin to emit light. Then the gate pulse signal is released after the time corresponding to the pulse width of the gate pulse signal and the IGBT 12 turns on to stop the light emission of the discharge tube Xe. At this time, the turn-on/turn-off time of the IGBT 12 is short, so the excessive part of the quantity of light emission in the turn-on operation is reduced greatly.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To remove mirror surface reflected light from a sample and to reduce the size of an integrating sphere by maintaining a diffuse lighting and vertical photodetection system lighting optical system for mirror surface reflected light removal. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 2 is projected in the integrating sphere from its top surface, its projection end opening part is used as a colorimetric area control opening, and a photodetection opening is provided in the cylinder. The cylindrical internal surface up to this opening is processed for light absorption, and a collar part by after light absorption processing is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder 2 which faces a sample 3. Here, the outer periphery of the collar 7 is positioned outside a mirror surface reflected light line C-D having a maximum angle of incidence to the center line of the cylinder 2 and inside a maximum incidence angle E-F-D of incidence on the center E of the photodetection opening A while put as close to a point D as an intersection of two light beams as possible. Namely, the outer periphery of the collar 7 on the sample surface side is at the point D. Consequently, light within a certain angle range including perpendicularity is incident on the photodetection surface from the sample control range, and consequently a mirror surface reflected component is mixed, but it is cut off by the collar 7 and the angle of light projection on a sample measurement area is controlled.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit an exact spectrometry by providing a calculating means which calculates the ratio between the A/D conversion value of the output of a 1st photodetector array for measuring a sample and the A/D conversion value of the output of a 2nd photodetector array for measuring a light source. CONSTITUTION:The sample 1 to be measured is illuminated by the light source 2 for illumination. The reflected light or transmitted light from the sample 1 is spectrally divided to the light of every wavelength by a 1st spectral means F1 and is then detected by the 1st photodetector array PDA1. The light from the light source 2 for illumination is spectrally divided to the light of every wavelength by a 2nd spectral means F2 and is then detected by the 2nd photodetector arrays PDA2. The outputs of the 1st and 2nd photodetector arrays PDA1, PDA2 are subjected to A/D conversion by A/D conversion means ADC1, ADC2 and the ratio thereof is determined by the calculating means DVD. The determined ratio is the value obtd. by removing the influence of the fluctuation of the spectral energy distribution of the light source 2 from the spectrometry value of the sample 1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate nonuniformity in spectral sensitivity between photosensors by adjusting an angle of incidence of a light beam entering an interference filter. CONSTITUTION:An optical filter F1 (band-pass filter) is combined with a photoelectric conversion element SPD and they are selected so that an aimed sensitivity characteristic be presented practically. An interference filter F2 (long- wavelength cut filter) is provided for correcting the sensitivity characteristic on the long wavelength side of the overall spectral characteristics of a photosensor and fitted in inclination to the optical axis. By adjusting an angle theta1 of inclination thereof, a cut wavelength is varied and thereby correction on the long-wavelength side of the overall spectral characteristics is conducted. As for an interference filter (short-wavelength cut filter) F3, an angle theta2 of inclination in fitting thereof is adjusted in the same way as F2 and thereby the short wavelength side of the overall spectral characteristics is corrected.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase the amount of monitoring light and to make it possible to miniaturize an integrating sphere, by directly providing a monitoring-light inputting surface at a part neighboring an opening for a sample at the surface of the integrating sphere. CONSTITUTION:Light, which is emitted from a light source 8, is reflected with a reflecting shade 4 and inputted into an integrating sphere 1. The light, which is inputted into the integrating sphere 1, is diffused and reflected in the integrating sphere 1. The light becomes nondirectional illuminating light. The light is projected on a sample 3 at all angles. A reference opening C is provided at a part neighboring the sample 3. The light, which is projected on the sample 3, is inputted into the opening C. A diffusing plate 7 is arranged in the reference opening C at a position where the direct light from the sample 3 is not inputted. Absorbing treatment is applied on the side surface of the reference opening to the diffusing plate 7. The light, which is transmitted through the diffusing plate 7, passes through an optical fiber 6. The light is measured with a spectral sensor for monitoring the light source.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To aim at simplification in a jamming countermeasure of the whole device by operating the switch of a device body with a grip which is detatachable from the device body and vice versa and has not any electrical parts. CONSTITUTION:In case of electrical equipment, necessitating various modes for gripping position of a body such as, for example, a spectroscopic type colorimeter or the like, there is provided with a grip C detachable from a body part A and vice versa, and operation of a switch SW2 of this device is carried out via this grip C. This switch SW2 is housed in an electromagnetic shield box A1 together with other electric parts and it is subjected to the required jamming countermeasure. Operation of the switch SW2 is performed by slide motion of an operating rod C6 through the push-in operation of a control button 21 of the grip C. Since there is no cause of wave generation in this grip C, it is unnecessary to do any troublesome wave shielding.

An arithmetic means MTX solves the simultaneous equations which hold for the outputs Oi of the respective photodetecting means PDi and the relation between the spectral sensitivity information aij stored in said storage means B1J and the light intensity Pi of said each section wavelength area, thereby obtaining the real light intensity Pi of each wavelength.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the incidence of reflected light from a sample into an optical fiber again, by arranging an end face of the optical fiber for introducing a measuring light to a sensor for measuring a sample askew to the surface of the sample or applying a non-reflection coating film on the end face thereof. CONSTITUTION:Two kinds of non-reflection processing are available. One is cutting an end face of an optical fiber 5 askew. Reflected light on the end face A of the optical fiber 5 is mirror reflected on the end face A to irradiate inner wall surfaces of all cylinders. The inner wall surfaces of the cylinders are coated black. Thus, the reflected light on the end face A of the optical fiber 5 is prevented from being incident into the sample again. The other is applying a non-reflection coating film on the end face of the optical fiber. The inner wall surface of a cylinder 2 is so arranged that an end face at the light receiving end A is cut parallel with the surface of the sample to eliminate reflection of light on the wall surface while a non-reflection coating AC is applied.
